Looking insane, I love the look of Cycra stadium style plates . The zip ties will wear away the fork anodizing very quickly. Maybe throw some 3M clear guard behind the zip ties before you ride it .

This video series was awesome and the bike is badass! I started my 01 build 2 years ago, budget was smoked weeks in, just patiently waiting on a pipe from P.C. and it's done I'd say you are between $8500/$9500 just based on some of my big ticket items. Motor -$1200 Wheels- $1000 Lectron- $500 Plastics& graphics- $450 Galfer brake kit & lines-$500 Rebuild kits shock, brakes & bearings- $600 Renthal- $300 Arc levers - $250 I haven't added up what was spent on OE parts but im sure it's up there. Also ordered some trick billet parts from the UK
@GregHitchko10 ай бұрын
Heck yeah! Hopefully pro circuit produces that pipe for you soon. More to come out of this build series, I appreciate the kind words 🙏🏼. And it's seriously all of the OEM parts that puts you over the edge every time haha

Hey Greg, looks like you've got about 8 to 10 grand into that KX in parts alone. I don't know what you paid for the bike, so add that too. My 99 KX250 is pretty decent, but it certainly shows it's age if you look closer. Still rips though... I honestly wouldn't mind to have some of the stock parts you took off, but shipping would likely be prohibitively expensive to my side of the globe. Anyway, awesome build, and very detailed walkthrough. Thanks for that, definitely will come in handy when I give mine a bit of TLC. Peace bro.
@GregHitchko5 ай бұрын
Thanks for the kind words my dude! Paid $5k for the bike itself, (covid pricing...makes me want to puke) but really happy with it. Shoot me an email about what oem parts you may want! I get discounted shipping so it won't actually be that bad on you.

I recon there’s got to be at least 20k in that build maybe a little more tbh some of the era stuff on the bike is near on impossible to obtain with all parts being used up over the years so it’s cost is a premium to obtain it. Greg imagine you were paying your self minimum wage for all the research time, looking for parts plus the assembly/spanner time if you added that to the cost of the build the price of the build would get crazy
@GregHitchko9 ай бұрын
Haha dude if only I was paying myself minimum wage for the research. It's time consuming but super fun at the same time. (My guess is really close to your number as well)....
