Micro worms + decapsulated brine shrimp eggs worked well for me when I couldn't get hatching eggs the micro worms make it look like the decap eggs are moving and daphnia is fantastic too my new hatchlings are on daphnia and only have brine shrimp once or twice a week and have easily doubled in size in the past week

You could try using frozen bbs if you're struggling, as long as you make the food move so they can see it they will eat it

That's really cool . I might get a few of those bins for a future project. . I've always want to try this but I'm not sure the weather here would be ideal . I would definitely have to do it indoors.

@gregjonesonline sorry. It wasn't a dig. I was just wondering as I couldn't find any videos on that. Mine aren't thriving but they still alive but barely grown at nearly a month. Feeding live daphnia. And they seem happy but just not growing.

hey, i know its been years, but i wonder how do you separate them? since i heard you need to separate them individually or they will eat eachother's limbs once they grow their front legs , i couldnt find any information about that anywhere. so i wonder if u separate them individually or just by size ? ( if by size , do any of them really ate eachother's limbs or gills?) thanks !

@@irfanrifaie7745 you can put each one in a deli cup, or keep them together and feed 3-5 times a day so they are always full.

So cool! I'll take 3. What about air ? And tap water treatment. Do they eat algae , and set up a test bin with hamburger, raw, and snails. And of course scrub guppies fri. Can you create biweekly updates? I'm excited THX KC 👍

They grew fast. And looks hard to breed this many. You can use small cups or bowls for them. But It's actually a part of breeding. You learn the basic care and technicks. You can just figure what may like to eat them. Or if they have hallucinogenic medical uses. I'd probabbly just have them as a pet to enjoy an aquarium hobby. Since they seem good specimens, that are alive , from seeing your videos.

Daphnia... and I would say they are almost to the point of black worms - you should be able to cut them up and use them.. If you were closer, I would offer to take some off your hands and raise... I've got the room for them (I breed/raise axolotls too)... if you keep them well fed, they wont 'munch' on tank mates... but I hope you have more of those totes around... because once they hit a month old, 1 to 1.5 inches, I would reduce the amount per bin to 50 max... then once they hit 2.5, reduce to 25 max per bin...

How old do they have to be before you can ship? I've watched all your videos and i'm so interested. I was introduced to Axolotls last weekend at a Reptile Expo and haven't stopped wanting some of my own since. I'd be interested if/when you can ship. Maybe overnight shipping? I live in KY so at least I'm not on the other side of the US.

What's crazy,is that an Axolotl is a Tiger Salamander. IDC What anybody says. I've raised them both. What I think is crazy is that i bet you could adapt an Eastern U.S. Axolotl to your area (was thinking about doing it in Florida, despite what scary ass haters would say)
