Goyo got aporreadillo or some people call it machaca. It's made with carne seca(dehydrated beef, almost like beef jerky) and its not a stew. It's fry in a pan and they add eggs and salsa. Its great for an almuerzo with hand made tortillas.
@kinetickennons6 жыл бұрын
That kind of describes what I had...but the addition of the caldo/soup definitely gave it a stew like taste and flavor. I have had Machaca before and it wasn't quite like aporreado. Not the aporreado from there at least.

Gradually, you guys are getting closer to understanding the heart and soul of México: it does reside in the food in part, but it is mostly in the people, their conversations, music (you really have to listen to and appreciate what I call the Mexican songbook, the classic that have come to define our cultures), popular religion (Catholicism which ha a mystical component that is completely unknown and unappreciated by the Church in the US), the arts, the rich history, and, yes, the hardships that people face on a daily basis yet manage to transcend.
