Hi Greg, just to echo everyone else’s comments, brilliant and really enjoyed it. I learn something after everyone of your builds. I must say I was a little disappointed when I saw it was a tractor, but throughly enjoyed , and I’ve already bought some Model Air Brunt umber. Thanks for sharing it with us. Jase 🇬🇧

That was a great build. The final result looks great and, from other comments, it seems like it’s not an easy kit. It really is crying out for a little bit of cobbled road and pavement to sit on. Thanks as ever for your videos - they really help me rebuild my skills with the new products, returning to the hobby after many decades away.

Really nice build. My father was a farmer back in the 40s. When ever he saw a new tractor on the roads he’d say we never had a cabin never mind heater, aircon or bloody GPS. Old Massey Ferguson. Warmed he’s wellies and gloves on the exhaust pipe. The good old days. Lol

That's how I make all of my purchases! I think this is the most important thing - to get enjoyment out of the process. In my case quite often difficult and badass kit just burns me out, not because kit is bad but because the amount of effort and time to get to the finish line is huge. I made a rule for myself - always make a brake if I feel that process starts to be a drag and make something fast. It can be small, it can be big, but it should be fast (like a week or two).
@Claymore52 жыл бұрын
Gorgeous build - particularly loved the light weathering. I've seen this kit in my local model shop and have been tempted.... the only problem is I could see myself building two or three of these - just because they are different and come with the colour options.

Nothing wrong with a mountainous stash of unbuilt kits hiding for a rainy day... long as the rainy day comes You ever though about one of those 1:32 locomotive kits by trumpeter, lot of parts, decent amount of detail and something you could have a field day weathering

Lovely result Greg. I have recently done their B-Type bus - similar experience I think, lots of fiddly parts with multiple sprue attachment points. It was quicker to replace some bits with brass or plastic rod than to clean up the kit parts. Looked good when finished, though.

Great build matey! some crazy wheel assembly. I like the the wash too make the paint look bleached! Never though of that. You got any suggestion for blue?
@GregsModels2 жыл бұрын
Light blue I would think would be ok. I used a tan colour because if I'd used white with red I'd end up with pink. Most times to lighten a colour, tan or buff can help. Paint your main colour on some spare plastic and experiment with different shades of washes before committing to your model.

Fantastic built as always. Congrats. One quick question not related to this post. You sometimes use the W&N UV Matt varnish. What thinner do you utilize and what product to clean your airbrush after shooting this varnish? Cheers
@GregsModels2 жыл бұрын
This stuff is produced for artists to be applied by brush only; to finished paintings. But I messed around with it using the airbrush. Thinned down 40 water to 60 varnish, give or take, gave me good results, but does take days to dry. To clean the airbrush I use an airbrush cleaner. But a word of warning, this stuff is tricky to apply. I must make a small video on this.

Miniart make great kits. The only problem with their philosophy and kits is their somewhat needless complexity….. Tamiya can make this part as one piece so we’ll do it as 5, no wait 10!
@memememe26742 жыл бұрын
And the part with 5 or 10 parts normally look better if you have the skill to build it, if you don't have the skill or want the added extra work don't buy Miniart kits. Buy a Tamiya with over inflated price and finish it in 4 hrs.
