These 1:72 scale Airfix kits used tome in clear plastic bag, with stapled fold over header; for the princely sum of 75 cents! 1970.

Cracking job on this one. I've never had the courage to even start my kit. And I have the Cobra detail set so should be way easier, right? Some day.

Nice work. I use a fine tipped fiber tip pen to do the tyres. Like the brass wire frame and exhaust. One small point; the Wespe did not (I believe) make it to North Africa as it was only introduced in 1943. Same issue with the Airfix Panther. There were early Lorraine based Marder 1s and the Pz2 based 150mm SP infantry gun, so the diorama base still has potential. There were a very few Stug IIIs sent over to Tunisia for the very end, and of course a few Tigers.

Hello Greg, I am always happy to see your magic fingers and always a stunning result. I am in France , actually working on a detailed version of this old airfix kit. thanks for this video JF

I must notice one really smart move on your side to improve fuselage fit. You have glued all three left pieces (tip, front and mid-rear section) as well as right one and then put fuselage together. Good move. I'm just putting my own Italeri Jag together and now I see what i got after following manual. Far more filling and sanding

What can I say? Another gorgeous, stunning model! Even with some ofnthe setbacks you endured (especially after it was all done and fell off its stand! 😮) you still pushed through and finished it and did a helluva build, another one to be proud of Greg!

Very nice build of an equally nice kit - it seems Kotare is a new(ish) brand since they don't have much to offer, but from I can see its very high quality. One think I'm kind of surprised to see here is the suggestions for improvements and scratch building in the kit - that is something I haven't heard about even before. I'm no aircraft builder, but I might actually try this myself for once, just because of the quality of the kit.

Man, I've just discovered your channel, your skills , patience and modelling abilities are truly incredible. I love building model kits. My brother and i have made loads but not quite to your standard. The problem now is we are terrible, my bro has ptsd and i had an accident which has left me with nerve damage and a dreadful tremor in my hand. We can't draw a straight line between us let alone build a model. Its such a bummer but i don't want to stop modelling but they are terrible when finished. My brother thought it would be therapeutic for his ptsd but it winds him up. Honestly we are a right pair of flids. Keep the videos coming !

Beautiful build Greg! I love the whole build, the paint scheme, the detailing. Painting on your own markings and insignia was most impressive too! Looks like it was a rather straightforward build too? Eccellent work! ❤

I've just found this series of videos on the Lightning build. It's a very dear aircraft to me as I worked on them in the early 1980s 1:32 scale isn't a scale I build. I'm hoping for a 1:24 scale from Airfix, lol! Regarding the hook. The part that has the slot it fits into is/was known as the "Duck's Arse". You have done a good job as the hook 'arm' itself was just a really big chunk of spring steel. The videos are a pleasure to watch.

I love the “silhouette” approach on the passengers. A great idea for even a 1/144 scale 737 that I’d like to try. I’ll also be trying the the talcum powder/super glue approach. Great build. 👍👌😎

Beautiful build, Jamie. My build experiences largely mirrored yours. Interesting approach to painting the fibreglass/phenolic resin bands on the canopy. The raised Airfix framing on the canopy was a pain to work around and i might take the frames off completely on my next one, much like what ye did with the JP.
