Your vids are a breath of fresh air in these crazy times. The skill and dedication are beautiful mixed with pure joy and calmness, love the completely silent bits too, thought it was a mistake at first but "less is more" as they say.

I love your videos. I remember when Tamiya brought out the 88 AND halftrack back in the 70's. The excitement. I probably got them as a Xmas present from Santa. The memories. That's what your videos do. I thank you.

Great build and finish. The Tamiya truck is definitely a better kit though. The Italeri gun almost looks like an old 1970s molding.
@Neontrifle3 жыл бұрын
I can't understand why Tamiya would partner their kit with the Italeri, the quality is not as good. This series of 1/48 kits from Tamiya are excellent and I've enjoyed making several of them.

Nice one! Drybrushing is so underrated in scale modelling. Having come into scale modelling from mini painting I assumed drybrushing would be the done thing but I see so few people doing it. Awesome way to get highlights and build up some colour gradiation on the big flat panels.
@DavidMartin-ym2te3 жыл бұрын
It used to be the thing, Shepherd Paine and Verlinden used to produce some amazing effects. This guy is underrated I think, a real model builder not just an airbrush fiend....

Great build - never got into 1/48 since my default is 1/35 and 1/64 for smaller stuff, but maybe should try my hands on some. One thing though most modellers forget: guns not in combat almost always have a muzzle cover to protect it from dirt and debris. Just stuff the barrel and wrapp some tissue paper or similar over the muzzle and its done.

Fantastic build video. Simple techniques used yet so effective. Love it. Would you be willing to do more of these wonderful Tamiya WWII armor kits in 1/48? These are rare and would fill in a long-time neglected niche of scale model building. Cheers!

A really nice build. I am not sure how you can cut all the parts off the sprue before you begin assembly. I would fear getting detail parts mixed up, especially if the instructions are not that clear. I do cut and clean the parts for a specific assembly stage before building but never all of them.
@GregsModels3 жыл бұрын
The Tamiya illustrations are always well drawn and clear. There are some manufacturers that I would think twice with this process, Revell being one 👍

When you say detergent in terms of the wash, what type of detergent are you referring to? Interesting subject and that gun looks very intricate.

I use a small amount of shower gel, synthetic detergent.

What colour(s) did you use for the leather seats? I like the look of them.
@GregsModels3 жыл бұрын
Citadel paints; first, a base coat mixture of Mournfang Brown, Mephiston Red and Abadon Black. Then a very, very dry brushing with Ungor Flesh, a tan colour, on the edges of the seats. Then it is sealed with a satin varnish.
