Not really, while i agree it is op when used right, ai usually doesnt use it right. Almost every phase ship (excluding afflictor) is worse pick for ai than its normal (shielded) counterparts. Speaking DP wise.

AI every Time A Rocket can hit goes into Phasing Mode for like 2 Seconds Perfect every Time only when Venting or around 1 Second after Phase you can hit them so this is just Extending the Time how long the Ships are not Destroyed also they hit you from the back often. @@Kuba_K afflictor is just a Cheat Code. You can make Phase ships expensive or worse in stats but heck one Big Hit on Normal Ships is already making Phasing better when big hits are no Problem.. Players usually mess up to dodge missiles or fast shoots but you can One Ship a Star Base

@@Jakkaribik1 When player piloted i agree phase ships are op. But not for ai. Invincibility is great but not for extended fire exchange. Keep in mind that shield is essentially infinitely regenerating HP pool. So while phase ships are better at avoiding heavy hitting weapons they struggle under sustained fire. And no, for ai any phase ship besides afflictor is just downgrade compared to normal ships. Because: 1. No shield means every bit of damage is permament 2. Limited cr 3. Limited weapons 4. Large dp cost compared to other ships of similar size. 5. You have to pick phase tuning to even use mobility 6. Expensive maintenance (due to delicate machinery hull mod)

Considering Let's Say I have A capital then 70% or more Ships are Easy even if they have good Shields or Weapons what Capitals dont have is speed or to move around Phase ships can no matter what enemy is fly behind but yes the Stats are All Around Worse but in the Time I Destroy 2 Sizes up to any smaller Phase Ship Phase Ships outlast Bigger Vessels by just Moving Fast and do their So called Phasing In The Player Hand it could easily destroy 1 or even 3 Times the Size of the OP cost. In the AI hands it is mostly worse but Let Reapers unnoticed and it can even destroy your Capital Ships @@Kuba_K

Personally I Rather have 2 Normal ones than half that in one Expensive Tech but it Depends if the Cost is Manageable and you want like one type of every ship then sure use some expensive ones you always can put efficiency overhaul to lessen the Impact@@Kuba_K
