Short summary: A kid gets a pet that reproduces asexually if exposed to water and turns into a monster if fed after midnight. Predictably, the former thing happens first, and the second thing happens to the offspring.

In the first movie all but 1 of the gremlins are killed by Billy blowing up the movie theater where they had gathered to watch Disney's Snow White, in the second movie Gizmo, the cute one, had watched several Rambo movies before being caught and tormented by the Gremlins giving him the tools to fight back and escape, though again 99% of the Gremlins were killed in a single incident by Billy. Watch the movies they are both good but for different reasons, the first is much darker than the second which was really made fore children.

CRAY ON: Ummm... In this particular scenario, it would have been daylight when Billy got abducted. Hence, the Gremlins all would have died. And, by default, Gizmo couldn't have saved anybody. I mean, his particular set of skills are 'Staying Dry', 'Curbing Appetite', and 'Firing Machine Guns While Speaking Unintelligibly'. So he's not going to rescue anybody unless the entirety of the hero scene from start to end included him using towels, bulimia, and guns 10 times bigger than him... in a dark room. Not to mention, PeTA would be trying to stop the entire thing all the way through. It'd just be easier to get a new 'Billy' at this point in the movie.
