I also have Asperger's and I'm getting my Master's degree in Sustainability in Japan and Germany. It's often hard living with Asperger's but it's also often a superpower, like you say Greta. Go get 'em! And sometimes I'm jealous that everyone already knows you have Asperger's. Sometimes I wish people knew why I am a bit different, so I didn't feel like I have to constantly mask.
@mattsalon70074 жыл бұрын
Well for starters many wish that people didn't know.. my sister has it too and unlike Gretta has selective mute-ism... Gretta uses that as a shield to avoid debating people. Remember everyone is different... And not having people notice your differences should make you feel better. The anxiety many have about being different and how others will view them is something you don't have to deal with. ;)
@emmasmailagic84744 жыл бұрын
Totally relate, I wish people knew I was autistic as well. It's so difficult because when you mask people have the same expectations of you as of other neurotypicals. But at the same time, I was bullied when I was younger for being weird, and people I just met have been rude to me those days where I'm too tired to mask. I've begun to stop masking since I was diagnosed because now I don't feel ashamed of my traits anymore, but sometimes its easier to mask just to avoid having conversations about it when I dont feel like it.
@emmasmailagic84744 жыл бұрын
@@mattsalon7007 Greta has selective mutism as well. She doesn't "avoid debating" people, her ignoring people who insult her traits is not avoiding debate. She wants to discuss the facts, but so far very few people are willing to do so, the haters dont have any arguments and the liberals who praise her are too uncomfortable and are unwilling to change their lifestyles.

Any idiot can make a lot of noise and get arrested for attention and self gratification. If she actually cared about the environment, she'd be telling the younger generations to stay in school and study hard so that they can pave the future in a greener way. Instead she's telling them they need to act NOW by skipping class and breaking the law, which halts their chances of making a change. She's the reason people think climate activism is a joke. Not because it is, but because she's forced herself into being the face of it despite doing nothing about it and mocking the tech billionaires who have contributed.

Greta, my dear, l am 84. Starting in the late1960’s attention to the environment was being talked about but next to no actual action was taken. Now that the result of this gross neglect is finally in our face, vested interests tell us that there is no hurry at all, that the state cannot be called an emergency. Some countries, some governments, some politicians and influential persons, who should know better, will go on obstructing whatever good moves are made to change the destructive way World Climate is heading. . To wake the Children of the world to protest with you, for the sake of protecting the future of you all, deserves nothing less than an Award from the United Nations, making you a Citizen of the World. Apparently, you are a VERY stupid 84-year-old, or you would remember that at first it was a vague "environmental disaster" that didn't happen, and then it was "all the songbirds will die!" based on the fraud Rachel Carson's dishonest and inaccurate book (which has resulted in millions of completely unnecessary human deaths from mosquito-borne illnesses), and then it was the Population Bomb that would mean that everyone was starving by 1980, I mean 1990, I mean 2000, and then it was acid rain which would surely denude forests (was not real, did not happen; China has far worse emissions of SO4 than anywhere in the West, and their forests are growing fine--filthy, but fine), and then it was global cooling, and then it was the ozone, and now it is global warming, even though the earth still hasn't warmed to 1930s levels after the global cooling scare! So which one were they "supposed" to act on? All the other fake scares, or this one? You stupid, stupid, stupid woman.

I really admire how Greta is honest and open about her having asperger's. Not an easy thing to do, but likely a great inspiration and help for others with asperger's. Also, agree with the others who noticed how she was rudely cut off by the interviewers. Unfortunately, the same interviewers probably do that to many of their other guests as well. As Greta would say, "How dare they! "
