@h0lly_blue2 жыл бұрын
people are scared of what they don't understand, and in this case it's a young woman speaking facts, who started off as a teenager speaking facts, and if there's one thing grumpy older people hate, it's youths trying to make a difference and change their world because "BACK IN MY DAY WE DIDN'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT RUBBISH LIKE THAT" - well we're not in their day anymore, we're in ours, and they'll just have to get used to that the same way we will in a few generations their way of life is petering out and they can't accept that, so they instead have to lash out at the current generations to make up for it
@h0lly_blue2 жыл бұрын
@Ama Daetz case in point - god forbid a young person is successful in any sort of way that effects closed-minded people's regressive mentalities, because obviously they're too young and too naive to think for themselves without letting the "grownups" talk for them I hope you don't reproduce, because you'd be a shit parent if you'd belittle, demean and scoff at your kids - the ones you can't replace, the ones who will eventually have to take care of you at some point provided they don't dump you in some unnamed, uncharted and underdeveloped nursing home in the valley because they can't stand the sight of you - the same way you do to Greta

Greta was not trained to be a politician, she saw an issue she cared about not being discussed enough, so she pushed herself out of her comfort zone to do what is right. I get we're u are coming from i really do. But tears don't help at all. It's a distraction and a empathy move more than anything. You can show extreme emotion without crocodile tears. Arguable you can show more emotions by the way you use your tone of voice your facial movements so on. just look at people like Martin Luther king and that's just one example. I will be surprised if you can change my mind on this one honestly. As the tears are more of a distraction than anything else. The fact people keep saying stuff like she to immature to do what she is doing says that. If u was debating something with me and them crocodile tears come out. I would just look at you and say well should we come back to this when emotions aren't so high so we can have a reasonable convo about this. As I don't wanna debate with someone who's making there arguments off high emotion. I want facts. She could be using fact. But it's hard to take them as such when there crying. Literally crying. All it dose is make it seem like there arguments is all based on emotion which is a stupid way to base a argument like this off. As it's not a argument about emotion or how others feel. It's about pure hard facts. So I'm sorry that them tears do more damage than good

The hope I get from this video is not its content so much, but in its reach below! At the age of 62 I find every time I hear Greta I learn something new. HOPE a verb, it is an act not given, but earned, don't expect people to give you hope, which I often hear so much of these days, you have to work at it. That is so true, I know because for 30 years of campaigning and making the changes in my life to what I think is important to address the climate, helps to strength my resolve. Plus I have had some wins along the way, some from the most unexpected quarters, but each time I hear or just see my influence take shape, it strengthens my hope in humanity. Thank you Greta and you to Russell.
