The guitarist is already a total pro lol. Well on his way of becoming another guitar legend.
@chocokat972 жыл бұрын
it makes me think of the book Outliers which basically says that after 10,000 hours of practicing at something you're a pro, and if he's been practicing since he was 2-3 years old that's over 10 years which is on average how long it takes to practice something for 10,000 hours which does indeed make him a very talented pro

Actually the song was composed by Danny but Jake’s playing definitely improves it

He got an acoustic early on...he eventually wanted an electric and got one. His dad said it was "too easy", and took it away and told him to cont. on acoustice for a longer period. Then gave back electric later on. This helped hone his skills and character no doubt. Smart dad!😉

I’ve been lucky enough to see Zeppelin live, and I’m looking forward to seeing GvF in Manchester June of next year ( and I’m 61!)- the only real similarity between Zeppelin and GvF is that they both contain 4 extremely talented musicians; in Josh Kizcka they’ve got an absolutely excellent vocalist. There will only ever be one Led Zeppelin- and there will only be one Greta Van Fleet. They are what rock needs.

This song broke me at a very vulnerable time in my life and then it brought me back up because I took the words to heart…. “Even broken bells will ring again”. I was a Broken Bell when I heard this song for the first time. This song means so much to me. I hope they play it in OKC November 4, 2022… I don’t know how anybody becomes to be this talented let alone three brothers and their best friend. What an incredible blessing….rock on GVF! Love from Tulsa!! ❤️🎵 🤘

Hi Cathy I, too, love this song by greta. We get to see them live in September 2022. Looking so forward to it. I see you're from tulsa. We are thinking a lot about moving there to be with our first grandbaby. It's a really Beautiful area. Was just there a few weeks back (April 2022). It is a really big move and just wanted to ask if you love it there?

There is one issue i have with their live performances, Eddie vedder (pearl jam) once worded it perfectly: "TURN THOSE LIGHTS OFF, JOSH! THIS IS A ROCK CONCERT, NOT A TV STUDIO!" right before shredding 'even flow' I'd love to see them darken up a bit and have a bit less theatrics and a bit more of that oldschool rock concert feeling!

The guys a 3 out of 10, maybe 4. Check out a guy named Nito, he's a 10. Or even Polyphia...
@CocaColaCrazyyy2 жыл бұрын
@@PathfinderSCB definitely a 1/1,000,000 talent. You’re comparing showing off on guitar to fitting into to where it flows in a song. Polyphia is nowhere near the band GVF is, and half their songs to my knowledge aren’t any real vocals. And if you’re talking about ichika Nito, he just comes out with short “riffs” to show off for a short amount of time
@CocaColaCrazyyy2 жыл бұрын
Your point is like comparing the fastest rapper to the best lyrical rapper and one is incomparable to the other
@CocaColaCrazyyy2 жыл бұрын
@@PathfinderSCB I’m sure Jake could do anything that ichika nito or polyphia could do. Their styles of guitar play just don’t fit into what a rock band like gvf would do
@PathfinderSCB2 жыл бұрын
@@CocaColaCrazyyy Have you seen any of "the greatest shred collab" videos? And FYI, years ago, when I was young, I played, I literally took Synyster gates' spot on our high school jazz band when he moved on. While it's been years since I've picked up a guitar, you can still hear a good guitar player when you hear it, it's music theory. And really, Nito or Henson are so far beyond, its shocking you could compare.
