I believe this song was written when the singer and guitarist were 16 and the bassist and drummer were like 13. I think you’d enjoy “Built by Nations” and “Age of Machine” off their latest album.

The bass player {Sam Kiszka, the youngest brother} and Danny Wagner the drummer { childhood friend} were seniors in high school and the singer {Josh Kiszka} and his twin, the guitarist {Jake Kiszka} were I believe 19 or 20 in this video. Their music now is lyrically geared towards peace, love and unity. They speak of hope always sending a positive vibe in these difficult times. They are phenomenal live, check out Age of Man at Red Rocks, it is from a few years ago but you can see how then they were starting to expand their identity. Good channel sir, peace to you .

Ok so the latest album The battle at Gardens gate is epic.Caravel is my current favourite.Built by nations is a must,the barbarians omg.Lover leaver taker believer is also killer from Anthem of the peaceful army.Cabt go wrong with any of their stuff.Edge of darkness is one of the best songs of ALL time.

I laugh a bit when I see critiques of this song and write them off as almost a wannabee coverband of Zep. Justin Hawkins did a pretty scathing 'critique' which I found quite puzzling - That was on Highway Tune. He bagged the lyrics for example. The lyrics to D'yer Maker by Zep aren't particularly challenging to say the least. GVF is made up of four brilliant young dudes honing their craft. People who say Josh is copying Robert Plant haven't thought that through - if Josh can sing with such a strong range and breath control and that is his natural gift what's the problem - I am excited to hear a great band and even more so to hear what they do next.
