@@barrakouta No doubt these guys are incredibly talented (especially the pipes on Josh) but I disagree. When their songs are starting out, you think "Oh, wow, this is going to be incredible, I can't wait to see what this builds up to" but, their songs never build up to anything. They make me feel the way I did the first time I heard/saw Led Zep, Hendrix, Cream, etc. I feel the 60's and early 70's was THE most magical time in the history of music. GVF reassures me that The Spirit of The 60's is still alive. This is wonderful music, and I thank you and honor you for creating it. I wish you many, many more years of success and health. If I could, I would turn everyone in the world onto DMT and LSD at least once in their lives, and let them trip among friends listening to Greta Van Fleet, Hendrix, Crosby Stills & Nash, Dylan, Clapton, Blind Faith, Cat Stevens, etc. Bring back the 60's! It would be one of the best things to ever happen for this world....maybe we could have real Peace, at least for a while, again. "War, what is it good for? Absolutely nothing!" We are on the brink of WW3; a nuclear war that may kill 9/10ths of the world's populations. We would lose forms of plants and animals forever. When will we ever learn? PEACE...NOW!

People love to say they sound like led zeppelin and so what? Every artist sounds like another, thats literally how music works. You take inspiration from those who came before, doesnt make this music any less amazing and the band any less talented 🤷♀️

People that say these guys sound like zeppelin have nothing but stale air between their ears, I’ll fucking fight anyone who says GVF isn’t one of the greatest rock bands of the modern generation

"the greatest rock bands of the modern generation": that's a pretty low bar, dude. Saying Greta Van Fleet belongs in the late 60's and 70's is the highest compliment to them and imitation is the greatest form of flattery (and Greta Van Fleet are waaaaaay better than mere flatterers)
@ashton34043 жыл бұрын
@@scottalanmathews Yeah sure but they aren’t in the 60s or 70s… They’re a modern rock band and they’re one of the best, which isn’t low praise considering bands like The Darkness, Glorious Sons, Rival Sons, Dirty Honey etc exist
@scottalanmathews3 жыл бұрын
@@ashton3404 just clarifying I ain't looking for a fight and I support your offer to fight in defense of Greta Van Fleet; I just think it would have been more powerful to have instead offered to fight anyone who says Greta Van Fleet isn't one of the greatest rock bands EVER . As far as the other bands you mentioned... (niche-Glam) (post-emo pop-rock) (bluesy pop-rock with a cool gospel vein) (Faster Pussycat meets Poison) etc... pretty meh and not even comparable in the same dimension as Greta Van Fleet I'm on your side though

Thank goodness! Finally we are getting real music with real instruments. I'm sick of the modern music with techno music. I liked every single music you guys have created. Thanks GVF!

This band deserves all the recognition they get for their creativity, talent & contributions to music in general, not just the rock genre.
