I have to say, I just saw them in concert. I was worried they wouldn't sound as good as their album recordings because of these KZbin videos. But, the audio here DOES NOT match what you actually hear in person. They sounded AMAZING, and Josh's singing voice was FANTASTIC. The volume at a concert is just too much for the microphone in a cell phone to capture what it really sounds like. They didn't play this at my show, (I was hoping they would) but I'm sure it was the case here as well.

@@LadyOneko First of all i've stated elsewhere i actually like GVF. My 46 year old son put me onto them actually and I was very apprehensive at first because sounded too much like Led Zep. (marketing tool/make peeps take notice?) I have grown to love a couple of their tunes but personally still waiting for Josh to find his "niche" and remain there? No disrespect meant to a very talented man. Concerning the magnitude of Cream and the song White room and after listening another 5 times with the the correct audio equipment coupled with the correct headphones to GVF performing this tune i stick to my belief the song was way out of his reach. (he took too much on if you get my drift) I don't wish to compare but must and will say Josh failed (in this song!) but the lead guitarist did a great job, the drummer did a reasonable job but the fact is they are obviously not Cream. Overall GVF will find their "niche" and i don't mean this in an arrogant way but with so many talented bands around these days no doubt will "make it." Unfortunately for newer bands they won't be spoken of as freely as sixties bands STILL ARE NOW in 50 years time. I guarantee Cream, Led Zepplin, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Doors, Pink Floyd, The Yardbirds, Jimi Hendrix, King Crimson, Fleetwood Mac, Grateful Dead, etc, etc, etc etc will remain spoken of for the next 50 years... No malice or rudeness intended towards you, just saying what an old fart feels. Peace.

I wonder how much notice they got to do this cover. That being said I do agree a lower octave would have sounded closer to original recorded version. Cream's live performances could be iffy. Jake sounds great. Love the tribute. I wonder how many in the audience even knew who Cream was much less Ginger Baker. If this sends younger people discovering Cream or Ginger Baker well done then.
