Lost the love of my life 5 days ago. 30 years together. We both were strictly classic rock fans. Wasn't able to even think about listening to music for few days. Finally, driving turned on radio, You're the One played, cried. Happy and sad same time but cleansing. Thank you for this incredibly touching song! You just got a new fan!

@@bucs817 Nobody can say they’re copying anything when they’re original to their own art. All they’re doing is bringing back the use of actual instruments into the mix other than these digitalized and overly popularized and messed with sounds of the modern music “culture” that give no performance just like everyone else. Quite frankly, I don’t think they’re about to act how everyone else does from unthought hate out of people like you. So if we’re going to say they’re copying anything, they’re not and you should realize the era you’re washed up in because I don’t claim it. John Johnson Well, they’re still new and getting their footing as well. Most of the more iconic bands didn’t exactly nail it on the first try either. What makes me happy more than anything is knowing the old style of classic rock isn’t completely dead. It seems to have splintered into different kinds of genres like metal and punk rock somewhere along the line, and while I do love those for what they are, as someone that grew up on his parents old cassettes blasting music from Zepplin and Springsteen and Queen... Well, none of those guys are getting any younger, and it’s been a long, _long_ time since I’ve found any new bands that reminded me of that style. What I like about these guys is that when I listen to them, I feel like I’m a kid again, popping those tapes in for the first time. And to have someone that can take me back there and not just feel like a cheap imitation? That’s definitely something.

I cry and get giddy at the same time listening to this. In my 70 years I have never been so moved by music before. I hope I'm not too scary looking when i show up to a concert this year.

I’m 66 and have seen them twice. Many members of the audience were our age. Just wear jeans and a black t-shirt and you’ll fit right in. I know you’ll enjoy them live - they are great.

Holy shit....No Fucking lie. I love your tarot channel on fb. Go fucking figure I'd see your name here. I don't even normally listen to this type of music. I just got out the hospital laying in bed and felt like I needed music but not my normal listening. I'm on a soft rock playlist and about 18 songs into it.. Damn okay. Well nice seeing you here now a yr into the future from when you wrote this. This is kinda dope. Anyways have a great week. 😊✌💙

Led Zeppelin= Yoda Greta Van Fleet= Luke Skywalker Y'all can figure out the rest, cause you know damn sure their spots are reserved in Rock n Roll Hall of Fame!
@Flamestar3205 жыл бұрын
Yes, Luke and Yoda may have had green lightsabers (In Episode VI). But Luke soon developed his own way of being a Jedi. I feel like that's what Greta Van Fleet were trying to do with _Anthem of the Peaceful Army._ They still showcase their influences in it, but are, at the very least, trying something a little different with them. I've heard a lot of great rock music from other bands from 2018, but I also like Greta Van Fleet's 2018 effort as well.

Also, I love the use of the sitar in the song "Watching Over" from the same album. I love the sound of the instrument and always get excited to hear it used in music.
