Happiness appears to be a spiritual state. "Man is, in reality, a spiritual being, and only when he lives in the spirit is he truly happy." - ‘Abdu’l-Bahá, Paris Talks

That no keeping score is hard especially if you are the one who always go out your way and never get anything in return. There's only so much love you can pour out until you start to resent your significant other. I need answers.

It's human to be calculative. So I count 2 gives for every 1 take. After giving out twice, I expect 1 get. It's a balance to moderate care-giver fatique. Moving from being calculative to not-counting is a journey. I respect the limits of human discipline and practise communicating with people. For selected people I do go on to 3 gives 1 take, 4g1t and so on but there is a limit. Up to 10g1t for my wife. That's sustainable living putting efforts into transforming emotional energies into creative energies - communicating, gifting and various forms of emergence.

@@JT-xg1nq Hi. You seemed to have your system figured out and thats gr8. Does it work for your wife? Do you ever communicate the imbalance that you feel ? I think in the end it comes down to that

@@tishataray In communication I would not spell out the structure to the one I am connecting with. The structured mind will be 'discovered' by the other party. The mystery identified and later completed as a puzzle is a mental thrill to pursue. In essence its somewhat like how a matured man pursues a woman by first showing eye contact and then seems to be disinterested. That creates a curious mind and subsequent connections become interesting to continue.

Reminds me of the Family Guy episode when Brian writes vapid trash called "Live it, Love it, Do it" and is excessively praised for it. Same level of "self help" garbage
