It’s amazing how everything the Oprah show did to make the world a better place somehow unraveled when social media came into our lives. Now it’s not about gratitude and love in our lives that makes us happy, it’s greed, money, comparison, plastic surgery etc... I miss the days before social media where we were more individualistic, now we constantly compare ourselves to others, and we focus more on money and outer appearances. I really hope the pendulum shifts

This is so true. I remember life was so simple. I’m 38 and in college we stayed outside communicated in person and enjoyed the world without a phone constantly in our hands. Childhood was the best!!! It’s so true the absolute BEST THINGS IN LIFE ARE IN FACT FREE!! This generation may never understand that which is scary! 🤯 I hope the pendulum does switch soon.

I'm from Argentina and in the nineties I lived in the States for 10 years. I used to watch the show whenever I had the time. I soon fell in love with Oprah's personality. She has always given me food for thought. She has been a great inspiration for me.God bless Oprah!!!

I think ignorance is bliss! I am an older person. I have been through many phases in my life. When I thought I was the happiest, I was so "busy living", I failed to see a lot of what was really happening. This includes childhood up through middle forties! I had many, many friends all of the time, everything anyone could ever want, went here and there, go, go and go some more chasing life. Always chasing life!! Now that I don't do that anymore, I feel much smarter, experienced, understand people much more, and am very happy when I am alone. It may sound odd but I think it's true. I do love having a pet and I think pets are very important. I miss my parents terribly as they have passed away. I miss the life I had with them. But we are all going to lose our parents eventually so I cannot stay stuck in that place. We are totally forced to move on.

Some of us have to be free in order to be happy. Sometimes freedom means different things to different people. Oprah fought for her freedom by excelling in school and being in the right places at the right times and seizing the opportunities when the door was open and she was offered and taking advantage of her health. She excelled also in social engagements.

Oprah, you ALWAYS make me look at myself and at my life in a positive way!! I have spent my life making sure everyone else was happy and taken care of that I actually LOST MYSELF!!! I always had a smile on my face tho. It was a very hard time in my life but I have come out on the other side!!! Almost 2 years ago, God sent me a wonderful Christian man (JJ -- not his real name) who has really taught me to love myself. I have grown so much since we met!! He has such a BEAUTIFUL soul and an AMAZINGLY kind heart!! He has helped me to accept and love myself just the way I am which has encouraged me to be the loving, kind, caring woman that was buried deep inside of me for so long. I thank God everyday for putting the love back into my heart!! I have found that even when difficulties come into my life, I still have the ability to love and help others without giving "ME" up. I have NEVER been so HAPPY!!! Thank you Oprah for your encouraging words and programs!!! You are so loved💖

I’m actually happy that I ran into this video, I haven’t heard one of these videos in awhile. I guess im a lot happier these days.I’m grateful that I can express this. I do remember day’s fishing for uplifting videos, this video help me realize more things about fulfillment, purpose and what I view as success. Goal setting Go getting and not being burden with social norms. I’m grateful, I completely want more especially in my finances in my current situation but I do find so much joy and peace in everything I do these days.

I give myself a 6-7 depending on the day. I always hear, happiness comes from inside. Part of me sort of agrees, and the other part screams out "BS" at the top of its lungs. The thing I say is "Life without love and purpose is not life." And in my current feeling, my happiest day will be the day I leave this place. Do you want to know who the best actors are in life? Those who feel like a 5, but put on an act and everyone else believes they are living a 35. And maybe these are the ones that give, give, and give. But almost never get anything in return. And the kicker is they never ask for anything in return. Will I ever find happiness? 99% of me says No, 1% says Maybe, 0% says Yes. The real question is that 1% hope or false hope. As my favorite band so eloquently put it, "You build up hope, but failure's all you've known."
