OK Grex, you have some splainin to do! So I bought a used XSi3 off ebay for about $100, the seller had some extras that came with it including a .2mm fluid nozzle and air cap. I ordered a .2mm needle to match so I could have another detail airbrush other than my GSI Creos 771, also it is side feed for better line of sight. I tested out the .2 first and found very similar results to yours, it was good but not on par with my Creos. Well, I then tried the .3 that came with the airbrush originally and I can say that this particular airbrush seems to prefer the .3mm. I was able to get very precise detail almost to the same level as the 771. I don't know if it is a flaw in the design of the .2mm nozzle/cap combo but the .3 is far more comfortable and better trigger response than any other airbrush I own. Also, where is the green silicone grip and trigger cover? That is one of the best features of this gun, in my opinion anyway, is that the covers saves my finger from developing a weird callus in the corner. Anyway, love the videos you make. You are probably the single best reason I have improved so much in my own airbrushing skills. Gracias from NM!

I use grex airbrushes exclusively, and I would agree .3mm set up is the best, this brush has a learning curve...it EATS paint, it sprays so much out and can cause alot of over spray, so if done correctly you can out perform alot of airbrushes at a lower p.s.i....I don't use createx paint, I find their paints aren't grinded as fine as holbein, or schmincke..I use airbrushes for fine art on paper or canvas, but no other airbrush I own can spit out paint faster than the grex...it likes very thinned down paints, your mixing ratio with thinner and paint is the most important thing for this airbrush...definitely a top quality airbrush for the value...and as far as the green grip, grex sells these airbrushes under the "es" name which stands for essentials..you get just the brush/cup/wrench, so you don't have to pay for the extras...truly remarkable airbrush for around $100, I have ALOT of airbrush new and vintage and have used alot more, and I can say you can't go wrong with this airbrush, you can get really fine line detail alllllllll the way to heavy spraying with a fan cap!
