This was interesting. I don’t do social media so I am not a part of the groups. I do hope more people find some of us on YT that are changing the dialogue on aging and beauty as we age. We need to support each other on this journey. The world tells us we must remain 25 with no grey hair and no wrinkles. We must change the dialogue. Loved this. 🧡🙌🏻🍑Lisa

I definitely spent a lot of time on KZbin looking for women sharing their journey. It's also when I noticed I ran out of channels quickly-I really had hoped to find more women showing their grey transition! I realized a lot of women are open to sharing in a more private setting, and I get that. But I thought, I'm open to sharing publicly, so I'll add my voice to KZbin 😊

I have joined several grey hair groups since I saw your video. I enjoy reading about their experiences and I know it will help me when I see judgmental family members who feel they need to be extra. Those ladies have some zinger burns to come back with! Also, I love to look at their hair pictures and I have even learned a lot about going grey that I didn't know. So, I thank you for your suggestion.

Good for telling it like it is Cat. There’s a ton of judgement about EVERYTHING. Nobody really knows what’s going on inside anyone else. Being generous by assuming the best can go a long way- about gray hair or anything else.

Such a great point that nobody really know what's going on inside anyone else. The more we give the benefit of the doubt, the better!

I was one of the people who went to look for a Silver hair support group on Facebook after watching your video. I joined Silver Sisters and Curly Silvers. I found them both generally very supportive and it was very inspiring seeing so many photos of women looking confident and beautiful with their grey hair. I've left the groups now as part of a general social media declutter and because I don't feel like I need the support any more. I guess some people don't understand why we need the groups but for me it definitely helped me to accept the change and feel positive about it.

I love that you picked today to post this...I just started using groups like you should. I have been part of different groups for a long time and treated them like a way to see what everyone else was doing. I recently have been engaging inside of these groups, asking opinions on things I have questions on. It has really turned my online experience around and have met some really great people!!!!

AMEN! My coworkers tell me daily how great my hair looks. I’m not sure if I believe them. After hearing you, I should trust them instead of being suspicious.

Yes! You get to choose how you react, and I think trusting them is far better than being suspicious.

It's hard to find the right support group. Most groups that I have found have very critical members. Not critical about the decision to go gray, but HOW to go gray. Many groups have rules about only going cold turkey. No highlights, no gray blending. But it's their group. They can make the rules whatever they want to be. But it's sad when women can't support other women on their personal journey, whatever that might be. If someone knows of a group that welcomes all journeys and isn’t full of drama, let me know.

I've definitely seen what you're referencing and it was off-putting when it would come up. I'm not sure I've ever seen a completely drama-free group, but I'd love to hear it about it, too!

Support anyone who is going through an experience, my aunt is allergic to hair dye organic products as well so her support group is important to her! You just don’t always know their reason as to why they chose to do this, be supportive ( good job cat ) 👍🏻xxx

Your videos are an inspiration tbh~ I am going to be 31 this 2021 and while I always had white hairs since I was pretty young, they are starting to appear more on the left upper side

Question: is it grey or gray?
@DitchingDietsDye3 жыл бұрын
Both are acceptable spellings. It just depends on which country you live in. I'm in Canada, and we typically use grey.
