I'd say the game it's worth a try if you can find in a good discounted price. If one it's not sure about it, just stick to Forza, Gran Turismo Sport, Codemaster's F1 or even Driveclub.

The original is Race Driver is a classic. Grid 2 didn't capture the same magic and never knew Autosport existed until this reboot was announced

It is pretty much the first Grid just with more cars, better visuals, and a better AI. Its on sale finally right now for 60% off. Def time to pickup if you want it. They also have a pretty big DLC now with a couple more tracks and more cars along with more career.

Agreed, but not all what you saying. Did finish of the careere in 4 days. Started with muscles cars and worked my way down. Best way to do it, since everything opened up that way. But, what the game really missing is that good fashion Grid meny on the multiplayer! Missing Chost lobby, so you don't race with players that uses you as a bumper. And that YOU can chose what type of Cars you wanna Race in. And that's the reason I don't play multiplayer. Careere was fun, but Multiplayer sucks.

That's how it feels with the analog stick. Played it last night when steering it feels like it has a delay for steering wheels which shouldnt be there with controller feels weird. AI controls multiplayer haven't been in a lobby without otherwise I can't see this game being competitive without the AI in multiplayer which sucks.

ign and codemasters pumping out the same old shit just slightly better graphics , people have complained for years about the dismal AI ,did they fix it , did they hell , same old bollocks ,drive down straight and next minute the AI steers into you at 165mph ,seriously ign ,is that what happens in real racing .no it does,nt ,because if it did ,they would all be banned from racing , and this is where gt sport is so much better . there are rules in racing . but ign and codemasters seem to ignore this .so its the same old ridiculous AI system . i drive off the track imits i get a penalty , the AI drives off track limits nothing . personally i wont waste my money on codemasters ,not since the complete cock up with the f1 series ,where your save file would go corrupt . they ignored the paying customers when they complained .and going by the AI system they did,nt listen again . save your money buy gt sport instead .

I just played it for 15mins and this game sucks soooo bad . This is definitely not a back-to-roots GRID game that a reboot name would imply. Toca Race Driver was one of my all time favorite racing games and the original GRID I played A LOT and loved it. Those were real SIMCADE games. i.e. an arcade game with realistic enough physics where the car in general behaves like in reality, just easier to manage. The handling is like for a 5yo, much much worse then all the previous games. Seriously this is like Wacky Wheels (which were a lot more fun). I would not consider it good even for a phone game. The game looks and sounds great but is just so dumb to drive in it. I quit it after 15mins on keyboard. Not even worth connecting a wheel. Games like TDU2 and Burnout Paradise were more realistic and more fun.

Why would they not bring back the original GRID 'career garage' - everyone loved that! They did the same with DIRT, with DIRT 2 having your trailer to run your career from which gave the game real character, they've never done it since and all the subsequent DIRT *and* GRID games have suffered for it, making them feel less personal and lacking in flavour!

Too easy even on hardest get Forza 4 the AI are much harder and if you want a clean race f1 2019. 2020 coming out july will have a casual offline mode to those using controllers. Grid is just all about smashing and no rules so not worth getting.

Amazing graphics , true to life wheel animation, real time shadows , tree movement, real life cloud movement, grass with physics and the leaves of the trees have also physics depending the weather, car modelling was amazing, weather effects best in class, waterdrops also had their own physics, and all of that on a crappy ps4 gpu (not optimizes for ps4pro)
