As hard as it was for Seane, I believe she was really blessed to go through that process of 9 repeated conversations with her dad Stewart, before he passed away. I do believe it was a dress rehearsal - so to speak - and perhaps she would have been overwhelmed had Steward not had all those talks with her. When Seane gave the details of her dad calling her “My baby, my baby, my baby …” I was taken back to May 1969. I was 11. My older brother died by suicide. During the funeral, our Mom leaned into the open casket, put her hands under him, embraced him, crying, “No not my baby, not my baby, not my baby.” He was her 1st born. Hearing Seane say what her dad said brought the tears of grieving on … it was a horrific time for my family. My maternal grandmother had died a few months previous. And then my Mom died in October. I repressed all my grief until just a couple years ago. I’m still triggered and when it happens, I talk to my grief and thank it for coming up. Great video!
