It's horrible when your life suddenly changes in the worst possible way. My sweet wife of 51 years passed away on Valentine's Day. Today is Day 68 and I see no end in sight for my new normal. I hate going through the day, just going through the motions, hoping things will change back to the way we were before. But I know it's not going to happen and that's even harder to accept. My life will never be the same and at 75 years old, I'm just waiting for the clock to tick down. My "Once Upon a Time" will never come again. And I don't know why I post these comments because I always end up crying before I'm done. Thanks for what you do and your videos.

When my wife died, I did, too. All the shared hopes and dreams, the daily comfort in each other's company--Gone. I left work to care for her in In-home Hospice. Then, after she died, I had to leave work permanently to take care of our son with special needs. We didn't have any other children. Family is gone, wrapped up in their own busy lives, and I have no close friends. My son doesn't speak and the isolation is crushing. I go days without speaking to anyone, maybe a cashier, or someone walking a dog. The purpose is survival. There isn't any joy.

16 months and still trying to find my purpose. Guilt as those I love do not understand. The life I created for the last phase of my life was destroyed, its exhausting.

Wow... I can totally relate to what you've said.!💔 I'm sorry for your losses. The life I created for the last phase of my life, too was Destroyed. That says it all, no matter what anyone says. The guilt I have is valid ! I know what I did, and didn't do. I also lost my career job!😫 Now, im completely devastated. I have severe depression now. Just existing is torture, suffering, exhausting ..... and no will or want to go on. Sorry, I just hurt so badly. Only us understand...

I know that feeling. Even with the progress I've made I am still figuring out which things have meaning for me. I even question the changes that have happened in recent months because they were forced. I am grateful for what I have and I know they had to happen, but would I have made the same choices given the time and space to explore a little more? I don't know. I can't go back. It is what it is and I have to keep going forward.

You can also make more changes if you want to. Your job, your apartment, your friends, everything can change if you want it too! You are figuring it out.
