They deserve jail time for cutting Karen and Gretchen’s parts in Meet the plastics. I wasn’t a super big fan of Stop but I think it would’ve been a good addition, really solidifying that Cady was becoming a mean girl

I was so disappointed because Jaquel would have done so well in “Where do you Belong” and “Stop”. Also disappointed because im playing Damien in my highschools musical of Mean Girls and was so excited to see the songs i have been working on for months on the big screen.

I will fully admit that I am biased here, but them cutting More Is Better pissed me off to no end. This is mainly because I’m currently playing Aaron in a junior production of the musical, so it hurt to see both songs cut, so my judgement is a bit swayed by that, but nevertheless, I was furious.

My thoughts are cutting Aaron's songs is actually bad character development. I think it's pretty important that the love interest tells Cady to go to hell, fitting the theme that she has become no better than Regina. And that is worth a song.

It surprised me a lot when you said that you hadn't really missed More Is Better, because I remembered getting supper mad at the cinema when I realized they had cut the song. You said that it would have interrupted the pace of the movie, and that this way they just got in and got out, which is what initially got on my nerves. More Is Better - along with Someone Gets Hurt Reprise - is the reality check, the moment where the realization hits Cady like a bus (pun intended). It shows us that Aaron likes the real Cady, not the "clone" of her abusive ex-girlfriend. Not only that, but it is also stongly related to I See Stars. Plus, I really like the song, so you can see why I'm upset. Also, I'm super mad they cut Damian's and Aaron's songs. And Meet The Plastic. And whatever they did with It Roars. I'm mad in general.

Honestly, while More is better isn't my favorite song, I think it's actually crucial for both Aaron and Cady as characters. It really cements how much Cady has become like Regina, and gives us a bit more insight into Aaron's character as well, since we don't get a lot of that otherwise. It also gives the reprise of "I see Stars" a lot more impact in the end.

I think I missed more of the whole point of the scene than the actual song in both More is Better and What's wrong with me reprise, because I liked the little moment with Regina and her mom and I was waiting for that even if not in song form, and for me, Aaron just saying Cady was a clone of Regina without saying that he liked her before and that she was less interesting now is just weaker cuz it's like the beginning of her wake-up call

I love Angourie Rice a LOT. I think she's very talented. That said it is pretty clear they rearranged Apex Predator because she couldn't sing it. Sadly, what they likely should've done is recast the part of Cady. Agree about Where Do You Belong & the parts of Meet the Plastics.

I wish they would've just done a recording of the staged show, like they did with Hamilton. I really dislike all of the changes, it's barely a musical. They should've just done a movie remake with the storyline & character changes, not an adaptation of the musical in movie form.

I kind of agree and kind of disagree.Love the list except for STOP. Damien was given more to sing in this film and STOP is by far the worst song in the whole musical. Giving him apex predator was genius
