The Grim Hollow Monster Hunter class should have a sidebar for how the salvage rules change when a Monster Hunter is using them. That way, it still feels special, while remaining accessible for other settings.

The monster hunter is one of my favourite homebrew classes. I’ve already made 2 of my own homebrew subclasses that I love. The style guild which focuses on constantly swapping between fighting style such as a speedy swift style or a defensive tank style in the middle of combat as well as the graves guild heavily inspired by castlevania, more specifically my favourite castlevania game circle of the moon. I’m so excited to see where not just the monster hunter, not just grim hollow, but where all of ghostfire gaming goes in the future

Ive been running a paid grim hollow sandbox game for almost a year now and my players love it. Even though they only have 3 of the five countries to explore they are having a blast! I would love to see more resources that give GMs the basis of Etharis and then let them build upon that how they want. A timeline would be awesome as it would give GMs like me more history to pull from for inspiration without setting any current events in stone. For example, in my Etharis my players have gathered the four burach artifacts, their locations gifted to them by an arch-seraph of Aurelia, who says that by gathering them together at her head in Lake Osea and reciting "this" incantation, their power will be syphoned into her remains, the wayers healing properties will activiate, and aurelia will be born anew. Little do any of them know, not even the arch-seraph, that in doing this the four gods power and corruption all combine into one body, creating a corrupted "Pantheon Chimera." Statblocks for the more prominant figures like lord koshovek, volpesque, Hjadana, pope rolland, ect would be awesome too. Im curious to see how official statblocks hold up to my homebrews, especially in regards to the cold iron keep prisoners.

I'm launching my first Grim Hollow campaign in February with the Saga of Seasons. Thanks for the early beta PDF. The group is struggling a bit on schedule and I must have 3 "Raider Background" at the same time x) but we are close to starting. I have almost the full Spring Season ready ! I'm also working on a special quest due to Venin's presence in the campaign, a cursed sorcerer player, and a trinket from grim hollow. A shard of glass that gives a twisted reflection of the subject. If there's a "shard", there's a "mirror" =D .

Honestly, I think the best thing you all could do to help give people ideas and a feel for the setting is to run a weekly or even bi-weekly live play in Grim Hollow. I can't tell you how much I would love to see that!

I hope the campaign setting is allowed to be sold on dndb, I wanna purchase it so bad. I have players that want to play the subclasses though it's a bit difficult to do, when your primarily using Avrae on Discord, and Beyond's features. Maybe in the near future, we can acquire more of this beautifully made content in DnDB. I have a few players that are interested in the subclasses, monsters, and other mechanics of Grim Hollow. Also, Drakkenheim's content as well. Hopefully at some point in the future, Drakkenheim gets a Campaign Setting featured on DnDB, and so does Grimhollow. I would spend money in a heartbeat, for said items.

An Amazing thing I'd love to see is more region focused books like Valkia. GM tools would be great edition too, but I feel the draw of a Campaign would be much better long run.

All oficial martial classes have spell casting subclass (eldritch knight / way of four elements / storm barbarian). I would like to see one for monster hunter, even if Ben said he doesn't want to just make a ,,Geralt" class I am sure he can pull up a great solution and belive that any 4th subclass created would be a blast!! (In last words i would suggest to make carvers gild split in two possible directions. One str. supporting like with heavy armor and one dex. supporting. Like options to pick up in ranger's hunter or barbarian's totem warior)

I think an archer based monster hunter would be awesome similar to the trappers guild but for bows. Honestly i think the trappers guild features would be cool as base features instead. But like what ive seen of the monster hunter so far. Great job ben!! Excited to see the new grim hollow material.

I would love to see more releases like releases like Valikan Clans for the other four realms of Etharis as well as a few other more localized guidebooks/adventure. Would be cool to also get a book more set on seafaring that possibly expends on the Laneshi & Grudgels.

I'd love to have a Monster Hunter class but as we are playing online using Dndbeyond these days- unless the class is added to Dndbeyond, it's no use to me

Great work folks, keep it up. My group are just waiting on the Citadel books to get our Grim Hollow campaign back under way. Would love to see more space given to the city states Morencia and Liesech. But I love me some urban adventures. Basically feels like Ostoya has Citadel, Valika has the Seasons/Clan books, so hopefully the other regions can get some more love down the line. Woo!

I'm coming up on the end of Citadel of the Unseen Sun. Started it way back in Dec 2022 and I had set up everything into the Roll20 by hand, organized by chapter and all. And my players are finally about the finish it. Probably would've gone even longer if they hadn't blazed through Nov Ostoya in their chaotic gremlin ways lol. Loving the material and I hope the Fable gets a much needed update as well to fill in a few gaps I've come across while playing.

Thanks Ben! This sounds awesome:) Could the Monster Hunter have one subclass that leans into the Salvage mechanic? That way it could retain several subclasses that are compatible with other settings but allow a player to lean into the salvaging if they are playing in Etharis and dig that sort of thing.

One thing I think is missing is more monsters that can be summoned or summoning spells. I love playing summoner and unfortunately most of Monster Grimoire's Fiends are neither Devils nor Demons, so there are no spells to summon them. Maybe some spell to summon aberrations or undead of up to X CR, or more undead options to be summoned...

Please at least have 1 subclass for the MH that focuses on the salvage mechanic. It's one of my favorite things from GH and I've actually worked to add it to non-GH creatures (the fact that I've been a big fan of the Monster Hunter games since it's PSP release in the US probably has something to do with that lol).

Any plans for a Ghoul Transformation? In some fantasy lores people turn/mutate into Ghouls if they fall to cannibalism, but can still maintain some sanity and personality. I could easily imagine an Ostoyan/Burakh soldier becoming a ghoul villain or antihero, vengeful against the greedy nobility of both countries for the constant warfare, abandonment and horrific fate of their entire unit, where he/she partook of the flesh of a fallen comrade in desperation. 🤔
