Idea for next podcast: Tough vs multi-model units. I have seen a lot of discussion whether tough units are better, than infantry units. It would be interesting to hear your opinions.

Again guys this series is sooo good. I haven't played in a very long time now, it was like 1.98 or something when I last had a chance to play ha I find it easier to learn when watching people play and explain or break it down. Thanks again.

Hey guys, really digging the episodes. Have you considered including video of you guys talking for the KZbin uploads? It makes visual content much more interesting. Anyways - keep it up! (Can't believe I didn't know about the 1" rule...)

Thank you guys for doing this podcast. Great to hear discussion about Grimdark Future's mechanics on such a deep level. Regarding units with only dew models left - it is worth mentioning, that this is risky. One- or two-model unit can escape and contest a marker in the last round. In my last game against wife's Prime Brothers 1 last Assault Brother managed to contest one of my markers, changing the result to a draw. What is more, you still need to use activation (or split fire) to eliminate it. In the topic of ambush - a lot depends on the fact, how safe is ambushing unit. If it has Flying (like Jetpack Orcs) or Teleport (like High Elf Fleets Spiders), it can safely be placed behind cover and wait for activation. In other cases, as you mentioned, going first is crucial. Unless you are Tough(18) Burrower from Alien Hives - he can safely go as second one. PS. Thanks for quoting my comment :D

Hey, thank you for your opinion! Very appreciated! Yes, you are very right. All options, everthing we can do can be very situational. All we can do is to open the toolbox of choices and discuss all of them. All of them can be viable depending on the situation and thats the beauty of it!

I've definitely been leaving 1 or 2 model units alive so it clogs up his activations. It's a great way to keep the initiative...especially in the last two turns when you really need to go first.

Hey, thanks for your opinion on that. Do you even leave them alive if they are the heavy weapon carriers and still a threat? I am not so sure about the tradeoff myself. 😅

The discussion of Ambush is very relevant to me, as I've started painting some -Tzeentch Horrors- Wormhole/Rift Demons of Change. So the question of how many units you start in Ambush, versus how many Scout ahead, is important. (A good point that occurs to me that it's usually good to start your Psychic units on the field, since a unit in Ambush can't cast or block. Although that depends on if your army list has Psychic spells that are relevant in early turns.)

Oh yes, thanks for your comment! Makes sense to keep your Psychic units on the battlefield. Only exception would be to have Ambush as a delivery mechanic because you want to cast offensive spells in the face of your enemies because they are 6" or 12" most of the time. But as they are pretty weak/unreliable so far I dont know of anyone using them like that.
