Thats actually not as bizarre as it might sound. The Emperor had no say in whether or not he was to be placed on that throne and given his creed in the imperial truth and strong stance against idol and god worship he probably wouldve refused. Humanity didnt take to heart his warnings against worship and religion and now theyre calling him a god and sacrificing thousands of souls to him. Why he was so strongly against religion has never been truly clarified beyond it being divisive. I think he couldnt state the real reason which is the dealings hes had with the Chaos gods himself on the planet Molech despite being in opposition to them. The emperor is a conduit to the warp and where those sacrifices are going is really anybody's guess. But the horus heresy was surprisingly inneffective as the Emperor is just one person and it didnt result in the loss of the astronomicon so with the exception of the traitor legions humanity as a unified power still remained and if those souls are being absorbed by a warp entity it would explain the increase in psykers and chaos powers observed in recent years across the universe in which case theyd be better off just letting go of the emperor and the astronomicon and going back to the disorganization they had prior to the emperor than what they have now. And lets face it, the ecclesiarchy has been bad for humanity, and their power and acceptance within the imperium is tied to the threat and power of chaos which in this scenario is being fed by they themselves, the same idiots who didnt listen to the emperor when he said dont worship him. This is too ironic for it not to Tzeentchs doing and strangely fitting well within legit established lore

Ian Alvord khorne is the oldest, anger is probably one of the first human emotions ever felt and the very first time that anger turned to action, khorne received his first tribute. Khorne is rage made manifest. Tzeentch I think is the second oldest as deceit is also an ancient habit of men, nurgle is the 3rd in my mind because he is the inevitable outcome of the first two, decay, rot and stagnation.

I personally think Tzeentch is the first Chaos God and the embodiment of the Old Ones. The Old Ones created lifeforms to serve a purpose. Tzeentch plots every single pawn to their position. Old Ones controlled fate for a while. Tzeentch desires for control. The Old Ones had an uknown form but hinted. Tzeentch takes many forms. PS, I think Nurgle was born when the first life form died.

Some great ideas in your suggestion. However I always thought the Old Ones were a separate race while the Warp is its own thing. The Old Ones might even predate the birth of the Chaos Gods.

I know that its no less evil than any other aspect of chaos but for some reason, i find that seeking of knowledge and power at all cost less... "reprehensible". Even if, unlike Nurgle, Tzeentch doesn't value you and you're just a pawn in its scheme. He has so much to offer for an individual with a strong will power and a very solid mind. That if you don't mind some bonus feathers and scales on your body.

I guess it all comes down to what the individual personally considers "evil". To some killing a person is evil, to others killing an animal is evil while to the first guy killing an animal is perfectly acceptable for survival.

Leggo MuhEggo This is one of the many reasons why I’m for Chaos. From the beginning, they set themselves up to win. The Imperium bears a logo that is a secret Tzeentch symbol, the priests who force their religion on the humans of the galaxy preach what Lorgar - a chaos primarchs and current Daemon Prince - originally preached. Space travel that is faster than light is done by utilizing the warp - the realm of chaos, and the Inqusition frequently has to use chaotic stuff to fight chaos. Imagine how much more efficient the Imperium would be if they completely embraced Chaos already. The Tyranids and Orks could be bested.

That would pretty much be a "yes". But keep in mind that, from Tzeentch's perspective, everything always happens as planned, so even a betrayal is no different than the opposite :)

GrimDark Narrator Thanks. I really enjoy your videos and how you narrate them not only in character, but also from the perspective of person who would likely explain these things in the 40k universe. I love the way you wove in subtle contradictions about Tzeentch's 'ultimate plans' of bringing the entire physical universe under his domain and then pulling a 180 several times and suggesting he has no ultimate plan and merely plots for the sake of plotting. That kind of mind game of talking out of both sides of your mouth is exactly would a Tzeentch follower would do. You are a true top tier lore narrator along with Arch and the other greats. Please keep making quality videos like this!

If the chaos gods were real Tzeentch would be my choice. After all, he is the only one who wins in the end. Even Nurgle eventually fades away leaving only the dark awaiting the improbable quantum fluctuation that creates the universe anew. Tzeentch is that improbable toppling of the old decayed order of things. He is more fundamental than Nurgle who can only destroy what Tzeentch creates. Khorne and Slannesh cease to exist when life ceases to exist. Tzeentch is forever. 😀

All the warp entities exist as embodiements of the emotions of mortals in the Materium. Tzeench represents the machinations and progressive actions of life itself. Every thoughtful act feeds him. Without the mortals of the Materium, Tzeench, as well as all other chaos gods, would cease to exist. They are an amplified echo of all life, and represent it in all forms. Without death and rebirth, war and honor, pain and pleasure, plots or dreams, the universe would be barren. Thusly, no chaos god can be superior to the other. They are, as they have been since the Eldar created various gods with warp energies, interwoven with the fabric of mortal existence as any shadow is cast from he who lives.

It is the ebb and flow of fickle mortal worship which determines the chaos gods individual strength. Hence their eternal competition with one another. Nurgle and tzeench rival eachother as life itself rivals death, because death ends a cycle which imposes change in the universe. Yet it provides the opportunity for more life, and thus change, to occur. They rival, yet feed one another eternally. "In the end" neither would last longer than the mortals they feed from.
