When people think about good role models, they think about fake politeness, a "clean" vocabulary and a life that meets christian standards... Well, I think about Grimes. I mean, she's doing the thing she loves basically ON HER OWN, because she doesn't want to comprimise her vision. It inspires me to do what I want without expecting any help and work really hard. She's a fucking role model to me!

I have compared Björk and Grimes’ approach to Pop Music as being two sides of the same coin, both LOVE pop and I would say even that helps create a genre around them. Pop isn’t below either of them. Björk comes at pop from a very strict classical musical education and hears everything as potential music, for example creating electronic beats to mirror the volcanic landscape of Iceland and pairing it with traditional Icelandic instrumentation, all wrapped up as a Pop or Dance song to from Jóga. Grimes comes from somewhere having no formal musical training and seems to have the same love for sounds and beats and production and is experimental with what she makes too, but also loves making catchy songs and does things like adds crowd effects and purposefully creates music she can dance to.

I think a lot of her creativity comes through dealing and working with her speech impediment. I myself have always enjoyed people who talk with a so called "lisp" or even people who "stutter." It makes that person so much more interesting. Some people would call this a disability... I think of it as a sign of strength. This is actually directly why I was drawn to her music. I also think much of that creativity is also a direct result of her creation of multiple personalities to be able to work through her, I don't really want to say shyness, so maybe misanthropic view of humanity. I don't think she dislikes humanity I just think as she says when she speaks people don't understand her. I myself feel that way oftentimes in my personal life. When your mind doesn't work on the same level as most people it is hard to find that understanding in others. Listening to this interview gave me some incite into myself and the comment I left in her "My Name is Dark" stories section. Very cool! I want to add that I don't think I'm some sort of genius. In fact my thought process would probably be considered slower than most, especially when communicating with other people directly. People often comment that I get that thousand yard stare look in my eyes, because I am processing information received and it takes me a long time to figure the proper response.

I can't believe anthropocene sounds like that. (don't get me wrong they pronounce it correctly in English) It's a shame that the original greek pronunciation sounds more powerful Ανθρωπόκαινος (pronounced an-thro-po-ke-nos could also be read as an-thro-po-ke-ni) Cause it could have two meanings with that. Κοινή in greek means common but if spelled Κενή (and in English would be still be written as Cene) would mean empty. So the album Miss Antropocene would be layered much deeper. Miss Antropocene (meaning miss of the common human era, miss empty of humanity, misanthropic of the common human era) I am just overanalysing my head cannon at this point with my greek. So yeah.
