Internet accessibility has changed many things and more than we yet understand. It changes the way a child is educated, the way we see sex, how public opinion is formed, how sales are made, how business is done, etc etc. The people in authority need to have the ability to review these impacts and ask tech companies to make changes in areas where they find problems - whether it's phishing prevention, foreign interference, corporate brainwashing - whatever

I love her advice about setting your phone to black and white because it’s less visually stimulating. Just made the switch and time will tell if it works.

I definitely agree for Ableton, about how blessed I feel about Ableton, and the current state of music creation tools. The future should be interesting as kids growing up now are much more into technology, much more percent of people are trying to figure out technology and how it can be used to help us enjoy life and be more productive with it. The major flaw with all our technology and power at our fingertips is that it can be too much, and distracting and possibly not true. People need to figure out how to balance the knowledge that is needed to learn and check your sources. Also there needs to be more emphasis on mental health balance practices to help with our technological habits. ---------- Really enjoyed the convo between you guys!!

AI not the Antichrist or enemy, what’s been here, must be managed, problem solved, other intelligences, basic and complex, communication with insects, animals or listening understanding better relationships. "The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas" is a 1973 work of short philosophical fiction by American writer Ursula K. Le Guin. With deliberately both vague and vivid descriptions, the narrator depicts a summer festival in the utopian city of Omelas, whose prosperity depends on the perpetual misery of a single child.

I think the big impact isn't coming from world travelling artists, but from ppl who just want to travel so they can take pictures of themselves in front of the Sphinx, Mount Rushmore and similar things to show off.

The big impact comes from corporations. Not tourists, not independent musicians.

@@Jaxzyn Please elaborate. From what I can tell, a fairly big part of worldwide travel is related to recreation and sightseeing and not business activities.

Dear Grimes, Richie and Web Summit, We need to apply, design technology to rid humanity of the learned human flaw, scapegoat mechanism. Perhaps a game or other. “ Girard says that the scapegoat is arbitrarily chosen - why is this accusation imitated and not that one? Because it doesn’t matter, really. Any scapegoat will do because the goal is not to actually solve the problems that triggered the anxiety or conflict, but to allow the group to discharge its resentment and hostility safely, in a way that pacifies, unifies the family, community temporarily.

Not every technology has same impact to human brain. I can’t recall someone had screen addiction with Nokia 5140. Richie was around technology from v young, but smartphones, tablets and similar stuff that’s another level of making people addicted.

I don't get it... Each launch burns 29,600 gallons or 112,184 Kilograms, with each Kg of fuel releasing 3 Kg of CO2, so each launch releases 336,552 Kg of CO2.... But cars bad. >< It is always people that don't live by their own rules demanding we little people obey.

No to electric jet or rocket. The excessive use of the word "like'' undermines both the credibility and impact value of a speaker. We all fly around the world on jets for one night at a time. Cmon y'all.

Yeah I was kinda mesmerized by her lips, and thinking why I was drawn to them all the time. Makes sense that she got something done. But then it suits her very well, whoever did it is great at it. If she stays like this id say its totally acceptable. Why not enhance yourself, makeup is not always healthy either. Thing is, you can wash that off. I get why you want it, looks fantastic on her, but you probably need some kinda semi regular procedures throughout life, so that other comment is right in a sense. Probably not the best idea ;) Unless you're some kinda millionaire.
