They walked back the PSN linking mandate, but still have made the game "un-buy-able" in 177(?) countries

That would be steam's doing. It was done to help out the Helldivers players in those countries during the whole fiasco, by making sure Sony wouldn't receive any payments from those places where PSN is unavailable, while offering full refunds. Now that things are finally looking up, Valve might (hopefully) roll back the banning decision. We just have to wait. As it stands, Those who already bought the game in the banned countries before the fiasco can return to active duty. Meanwhile those who don't own it have to wait for purchase to be restored, as it also effects family share.

This isn't over. Do not relent or forget what happened because this is still Sony. Until everyone can dive again nothing has changed. Until its confirmed that countries that were locked out of purchasing the game can again it's not over. All Sony has done is said things on social media. Talk is cheap, action speak louder.
