At approximately 9:50: the Fw190’s wings were so short because they were optimized for roll rate. That thing was built with a “short and stiff two-spar one-piece wing design, two main spars to combat aeroelastic twist, small wing area (for a fighter plane), and metal-covered frise ailerons actuated by rods. That’s what allowed for the Fw-190’s “insane” roll rate. Keep in mind that the P-47 was a good roller as well.

Sup Cap. Been watching you for about 9 month to a yr now. I wanted to get into DCS, but was just waiting till I had spare cash for a Hotas. Well, I got a Winwing setup, F18 stick/throttles, and am just awaiting a Logitech rudder pedals to show up. Also have a flight sim chair setup coming. So maybe I'll be able to play with you guys soo, after I get good. For now I play on triple 32" 4k screens!! This should be intresting!

The Dora and it's later close relative the Ta-152 were given the inline Jumo's specifically for much better high altitude performance to assist with high level bomber intercepts and high altitude dog fights with bomber escorts, as the radial BMW 801 derivatives pretty much sucked at the higher altitudes.

I'm sorry to hear about your shitty night!!! My littlest is only two and a half, and I have to say I haven't had an incident as bad as you described in quite awhile!!! It totally gets easier the longer you do it, routines were the key for the wife and I, and still are even at toddler stage!!! My oldest is turning five in December, and it still feels like she was born yesterday!!! On that note, there is something I've heard you mention in a previous video though that I totally identify with, I REALLY hope my little ones are as in love with aircraft and flight as their dad is!!! Haha!!! I live in Arizona, and we have F-35's flying overhead almost every day, and on top of that there is a local Warbird group here with a decent museum and several functional aircraft, including a B-17!!! Now that my youngest is old enough, we're gathering up the family and heading over there soon, we hope to inspire at least a little bit of love in them for something that is near and dear to my wife and I. Actually, my wife was in the Air Force, so she rather jokingly trained my kids to say, "Fly Fight Win!!" every time we get buzzed by F-35's!!! You're a rockstar Supercap, and you're going to be a brilliant dad!!!

Aww, Cap. Your little poop issue brings back memories. My mustard dispenser is a full grown man now, but I can still smell the memories. Some days you only need to turn your back for a few minutes and they're covered in poo, snot, food stains and undefined crust. Once they learn to walk you'll get even less rest as they turn in to little suicide machines. Enjoy it, it'll be over so very quickly.

The FW 190 was also fitted with faired pods under the wings that carried two Mauser 151 canons each side for ground attack. Also, in real life the Eifel tower is painted a pinkish brown colour.

Flew against an A8 over London, the 303s are litterally pointless against the A8.

Nothing that the allies had could out roll an FW-190. The FW should be using that to cause the Jug to overshoot.

causing an overshoot is much harder in a ww2 fight got more time to react and any good pilot will just keep there speed and pull high yo-yo's you might be able to get someone who is very aggressive to overshoot but fighting someone who is patient you have no chance

I noticed the picture showing the P-47 in the beginning of the video had the older 'pencil blade' propeller. However, once the video started, it looked as if the P-47 had the upgraded 'butter paddle' blades, which would have increased acceleration and climb rate substantially better than the original propeller. Which blades did the propeller did the P-47 during the video actually have and are the two even modeled differently?

I thought so too, had to check it; Fleet Air Arm had over 2000 in service starting from 1943. Fun facts: New Zealand had Corsair too! And one Corsair had to emergency land in Norway, so it was captured by the Germans.

@@grimreapers yes the Royal Navy has corsairs. The US originally had problems landing the F4u on their carriers due to the big nose. We actually helped them fix this by using a curved approach for landing
