Yet more top quality content as usual. The idea for the Spear-3 is basically that it is like a very long range Brimstone missile. @@MrEsphoenix "cripple ships if any get through" is stretching it for such a small warhead. They are just as likely to spank into the hull as they are to hit a vital system. @regarded97026 ай бұрын
@@Akodo94 my point was that we can buy resources immediately. Production capacity takes time to generate true, even if you can afford to invest massively in it, but we can afford to buy what we lack from our allies until we can produce it ourselves. This is true for all major european countries, even ignoring defence clauses in NATO and the EU. Hence I view all things on a Europe vs Russia scale, as all of europe would be working towards Russia's defeat, even if they were not militarily involved, which they would be. I ignore the US from this as we cannot guarantee it would not be focussed on South East Asia instead. When looking at competition with Russia from a Europe vs Russia basis, Russia has 5 distinct advantages: amoured vehicle production, missile production, shell production, nuclear overmatch and autocracy. Of those only 3 are relevent to this comment: AFV production (IFVs, APCs, tanks, etc) is largely propped up by burning through soviet stockpiles and is a temporary advantage at best. Missile production is an area of geniune concern. Russia is to my knowledge relatively even with europe and seems to be picking up speed. This is easy for europe to fix by just putting in more orders for missiles though, as I am confident most production lines are not running at full capacity. Shell production is a major problem. Russia is currently outproducing not just Europe but the entire west (can't remember if that figure includes RoK). Under current plans, things should even out by 2026 but that relies on Europe actually investing in and building quickly enough new production lines, which it seems to be struggling to do. Anyway, all that is to say, Russia's only real production advantage is in shell production, which it is genuinely winning in and currently by a large degree. But that alone is not enough to claim Europe would be outproduced by Russia generally. This seems to have turned into a rant so sorry about that, but I hope it explained my point.

@@dogsnads5634 But if they pose no actual threat, then the enemy can ignore them and the bluff collapses. The whole advantage of the SPEAR 3 is that the enemy _has_ to expend air-defense resources on it. Toothless decoys only work as long as the enemy doesn't learn to identify them as decoys. The warhead (and captain-seeking guidance capacity) gives SPEAR 3 more enduring utility - even if the enemy learns to distinguish it from more serious threats, they will still need to shoot it down, or that meager 10kg explosive will get delivered to the room where all the important officers are.

@nietkees69066 ай бұрын
The Zircon is actually correctly modeled in the game, but not on the thumbnail. It looks really similar to Oniks based on published launch footage and wreckage found in Ukraine. It is also just an upgraded and higher flying Oniks.

Bruh, The Russians have retired all Su-33s, the 2017 SM modernization was canceled as was the K. In 2022, only 18 of the 48 remained in service. Today, none. They have been retired and replaced by the MIG-29KR, modernized K ones.

Long Awaited U.S. Carrier Fleet VS Russian Carrier Fleet 3rd Rematch! Obviously Kuznetsov Carrier. I personally think keep The MIG-29KR's for Air-Air and The SU-33M's for Anti-Ship! MIG-29KR's with R-77M's and SU-33M's with Kinzhal's! 5 Gorshkov Frigates and 1 Slava Cruiser for the Lols! The U.S. Ford Class Carrier, 2 Arleigh Burke's, 2 Constellation Frigates*, and 2 Ticonderoga's! F/A-18F's with AIM-260's and F-35C's* with Mako's!🙏👍

Çould the antiship F-35's have carried air to air missiles as well? Is it possible in DCS for tell them to fire antiship missiles and then go air to air?
@svensvensson27246 ай бұрын
So the British tactic was to drain russian defenses and then launch their good stuff. And the russian tactic was to drain all their own good stuff and then have nothing decent to fight with. Doesn't seem like an equal setup.

realistically the Russian fleet would back off after salvoing their long range missiles. The zircon could have been fired from 1000km away The main advantage of hypersonics isn't their difficulty of being hit but also their extreme range allowing for other assets like SSNs and bombers to support a fleet from out of theatre.
@svensvensson27246 ай бұрын
@@hughmungus2760 I would expect a combined attack where Zircons are used for the final together with other missiles & drones in one continous attack. Just lauching zircons is a gift to the opponent.
@hughmungus27606 ай бұрын
@@svensvensson2724 Keep in mind if this battle modelled with ammunition persistence. The Russians can just call in additional zircon strikes from nearly bombers or SSNs in hiding to finish off a depleted UK fleet without ever putting it's own fleet in danger. i love these carrier and battle scenarios. What would be cool to better meet the team and understand your guys aka the Humaniods, to do like a best of 3 tournament between all the guys to understand the hierarchy of pilot's skill when looking at these scenarios. Like Simba, Grump, Cannonball, Matrix, Cap yourself, Killer, Strider, Bird, Poosh. I know I am missing some like our German friend and etc. But it would be cool to see who comes out on top in a dogfight 1v1 tournament style. you could maybe do one at 4th gen and another at 5th and let the pilots pick their airframe and missiles. Like 5th gen everyone will pick the Raptor and AIM 260 but 4th Gen I could see F-15 (120D), F-16 (120D), J-15 (PL-15), Su-35 (R-77), & F-18 (120D) all being used. It is also nice cuz you don't need everyone on at once to do it and can just piece it together at the end in one video. You could even do a battle like this then after the scenario run a couple matchups with who is there and wait till next time so hopefully wouldn't add too much time to what awesome work you already do. I've watched many videos and It seems each have their moments of brilliant flying but who is the actual Top Gun!
