No, you use the emergency Jett in an emergency. For example, if you lose an engine on takeoff at max weight. You do NOT shit your pants if you meet a MiG at close range in a Tomcat. You kill him

Just a note on the "Stores racks", you stated that the Air-to-Air weapons don't have racks like Air-to-ground stores (which can be jettisoned), but I recall reading / watching anecdotes from former Tomcat pilots who stated that the AIM-54 pylons could be jettisoned as each one weighed 500lbs. Is that possible with the 'current' F-14 model, or can you only remove them on the ground loadout screen?
