That was a very well disciplined infantryman! Rockets and cannons going off and he turns to the left and right like 'that it?'

Apparently AIM 260 JATM is expected to have double the range of AMRAAM D? What do you think about that?

Beauty of a mission, that was well executed!!! These big missions are fun, because we get to see a freaking ton of different action!!! Excellent campaign!!!

Good thing the SAMs don't have a frequency hopping end to end cipher system, that could make it "ugly"!!! I think for a mixed mission loadout, I'd go with two -88s, four -120B, and two -9Ms, a center line bag, plus the cannon.

Don't feel bad I'm doing Battlefield 1942 servers, Company of Heroes, Left for Dead on my underpowered machine for now. It's fine not as big a gamer compared to my younger days. I still get to blow up stuff lol. Just shocked there are still 1942 servers!

Would love to see C-RAM vs Shahed drones and balistic missles in Ukraine. Love the random "what if" simulations you guys run.

I think TuAF sending greater numbers of F-16s/F-4s out of Antalya + Konya would have made this mission more exciting. Also Would have liked to see TuN frigates also in the AO but a bit early for OHP's would have been Meko 200's which aren't in DCS. Would have loved to see a naval force of Mekos, La Combattantes with Stingers aboard that work. Maybe an Alternate universe, acquisition of Kidd DDG's would have spiced things up as well. Still Ecstatic that Cap & GR are doing campaigns again and ED needs to pull the thumb out of its butt and make or buy the assets. Really why cant they buy them off Currenthill & Admiral 189???

Nice video!! I suggest a new possible future campaign: What happened in real life: in 1978 two South American dictatorships (Chile and Argentina), both supported by the USA in thei anti-communist purges, were at the verge of all out war between each other, just for a couple of islands in the southernmost region of both countries (Picton, Nueva and Lennox, in the Cape of Horn region). thanks to diplomatic action (and the last-minute intervention of Cardinal Antonio Samore) almost no shoots were fired and no war was unleashed, but the fear of war was a big reason behind Argentina’s decision of leave their best cold-trained troops in the border with Chile instead of deploying them in the Falklands/Malvinas war, and Chile’s decision of supporting the British with intelligence and leasing of air bases. In DCS reenacment (as either a short campaing or one “what if” video): Operation Soberania is launched, and Argentina does invade the Magallanes province in Chile. HOW TO SIMULATE Currently you have the new Patagonia map that includes all the contested region Argentina had two big Air Force and Navy Air Force bases in mainland (one at Puerto San Julian, the northern limit of the map, and the one that you already used at Rio Gallegos); and two at the bi-national island of Tierra del Fuego (Rio Grande, that was used during the Falklands War for the Daggers and Super Etendart; and Ushuaia, mainly for the Navy Air Force). Also, they actually deployed the 25 de Mayo aircraft carrier near the disputed islands, so their air component were doing patrols in the days leading to the proposed D Day of the invasion. Chile had just one big Air Force and Naval Air Base at Punta Arenas (you already used it during the Cenepa War reenacment; it still is the main AF base of Chile in that region); some units were deployed at Puerto Natales, mainly transport aircraft; Puerto Williams is a very important naval base (as it was during the 1978 war scare), but its runway is mainly used only by naval patrol aircraft (although it could be used during an emergency deploy) FORCES ARGENTINA: in 1978 they had mainly F-86 Sabres as their main CAP/CAS element; the Skyhawks were very new to their forces (being introduced just a couple of year before), and in the zone of conflict the only Skyhawks were the ones at the 25 de Mayo AC; BUT one big help was the IAI Nesher (Dagger) that were introduced just a couple of months before the conflict (you could use the Mirage 2000); both Chile and Argentina had Hercules aircraft and Huey helicopters as their main transport assets, and Hercules and 707 as air command/air refueling aircraft. Chile: the lesser force in numbers but more modern and professional; they had brand new F-5 Freedom Fighter (Tiger) II, deployed at Punta Arenas (and only retired 10 years ago); the still didn’t had the Mirage 50 (a special version of the Mirage V, sold to Chile in 1980); the Tigers were the CAP asset, but the main CAS asset were the (as of 1978) rather old Hawker Hunter (infamous for their use in the 1973 coup); newer were the A-37 Dragonflies (in DCS you could use Mirage F1 instead of the Hunters, and C-101 instead of the Dragonfly) The main ground forces were deployed in the border, right at the middle between Rio Gallegos and Punta Arenas, Argentina had AMX-13 and Sherman tanks and M-113 APC; Chile had M-41 Walking Bulldogs and Shermans, and also the M-113 and some Amtracs

In reality Argentina very much intended to invade - the idea was to grab the islands before Chile realised what was going on and then you have "facts on the Ground" and it's hard to dislodge troops on islands.... but Chille found out and moved its troops into position making such a quick victory impossible.... however as a plan it all sounds rather familiar doesnt it.

I've started having problems with the Russian AWACS intermitently not working, which ruins the battle, so just safer to stick to what we know works.

It's basically happened a few times already with Turkey & Greece. NATO tries to play peacemaker before it spirals out of control. In a worst case scenario, the aggressor country could be expelled for violating the treaty. They would then be attacked by all of NATO under article 5.
