Pro tip: with the cup liners in your HVLP gun. Before spraying, start by turning the gun upside-down and pulling the trigger until you see paint. This vacuums the air out of the cup, so it's paint only. You'll be able to spray at any angle, and the volume of paint being sprayed will be consistent until the cup is empty.

You have a good natural flow to your spraying technique. With just a little refinement you will be excellent. Please practice tapering your air fluid transition at the gun. What I mean by that is try closing off the fluid as you end a pass but keep the air flowing. This will enable you to taper your fluid to what is just needed and will also reduce overspray. This will be a big help especially with clearcoat. Practice a bit by never stopping the airflow but squeezing enough fluid to coat your part. Once you get this, you will never go back to your ON OFF spraying you are doing now. Trust me, I have sprayed thousands of cars bikes, aircraft boats and furniture. I am 67nyears old and still spraying because I enjoy it!

You say we've fallen in love with the rusty look. I've been screaming inside about how much time, sweat, blood, and tears that went into this project and it has been left without the protection of paint to prevent it from rotting. I'm happy to see you finishing it up right.

@@CGGS_0 -- No, that's the appearance a rattle can paint job gives you. It isn't like getting it professionally painted, but it DOES protect the metal and can easily be touched up if it gets scratched. The rusty look just makes it appear that you dgaf and just slapped something together, not really intending for it to last any amount of time, or even really work right, in the end. If you care about it, even a little bit, painting only takes a tiny portion of your build time and assured that it won't be a rust heap that's falling apart in a couple years.

Looking into your sandblaster cabinet, you should have an entry hole for clean air and an exit hole connected to a vacuum cleaner just to remove all dust from inside of it while sandblasting. You should also have a removable glass attached (with some brackets) beneath that plastic sheet. Is more durable and you can make it removable from the lateral door hatch. When the glass becomes too scratched and opaque, just replace it with another one. I have a similar cabinet and it works well this way. Awesome, awesome job you've been doing. Cheers from Portugal,
@NickElliottuk3 ай бұрын
I was going to say exactly the same thing.
@Hellsong893 ай бұрын
Yeah the exhaust of the cabinet is non existing. In cabinets you want negative pressure gravity resisting flow, as in filtered intake channel back of the cabinet that prevent heaviest material from flowing out with air and sucking dust protected fan on top that pulls dust out and into filter. Would not use vacuum cleaner since its low volume high speed extraction, when you want large volume low speed extraction. With my blasting cabinet i have troubles on figuring suitable all year round filtering system, but one would be if used little and/or warm climate, have pumps spray mist of water that traps the dust particles and drops them into bucket that then has sediment filtering and pump to recycle water to nozzles. Another would be some fabric type of filtering or if it does not bother you, just pump the air outside, but that is loosing lots of air in cold climates, so maybe cold intake into cabinet and then pump the dust outside, though it will cover large area with the sand dust. For the window, thin sheet plastic cover on both sides is the most cost effective solution, though if you can deal the with replacing sacrificial glass then go for it, but here glass is more expensive than sheet of plastic. Regardless you want to protect the main window from both sides with something optically clear.

To solve the wobble, try to mount the steering damper at the front by were the steering cables are, to dampen the movement between the "fork" and the bike's wheel. Think about your current setup as putting a steering damper on a car at the steering wheel. It wouldn't help much, agree?. On a bike it works because the damping takes place at the pivot where the frame and the fork swivels. Good luck, I hope it works! The bike is awesome 👍🏼

I have been waiting for this video for so long!! This is by far the best KZbin build. Rob Dahns 12 rotor was built by other people. You did this yourself. You are a true pioneer of your kind. Kind of a bob Ross of insane never thought of builds.

I was hearing a G but I think I'm hearing a harmonic more than the root.
@p3t3rrrn3 ай бұрын
i downloaded an app since they didnt, and it sounds like an E, but it does seem like a harmonic. (i have zero formal music education and dont play anything, i just like music)

@@p3t3rrrn Very cool. I was wondering if an app would be able to tell the note.

Please don’t let this one rot in the yard after SEMA. Put it up for auction at Mecum’s or something. Someone will pay a lot for that chopper, especially because the entire build is documented.

I am just so blown away that thing is easily the coolest thing I’ve seen in a very long time. I can’t imagine how much better it looks in person. Just wow congratulations!

I have watched you build this from the initial concept till now. I am absolutely amazed at how good this thing looks. I'd come by just to drool over it and your craftsmanship if I was allowed and was closer.

This is incredible! What a piece of engineering.. There's 2 things it needs in my opinion. A nice design for a seat. And a front wheel 🛞 mudguard! Apart from that, it's absolutely awesome! 🔥🔥

I have waited so long for this ending, guys. It looks amazing. Cant wait to see it on the car show next. I'm excited.

for road use you could make a detachable sway bar that fits on the right side, connecting both wheels. should help tons with the ride quality at speed

God damn. I've been so excited overtime they even mention the monster chopper. And now it's finished. And it is immaculate. 🎉🎉🎉🎉

I really, REALLY like the slow pan during the time lapse shots. It just gives it that little something extra that I have always found missing from other time lapse sequences I've seen.

21:16, as somebody also plagued by the urge to get things done once in flow: set a timer and do something else until the timer rings. The first thing to do when the timer rings is to check if the timer was long enough, else a new timer is set.

Well done, great work. But you need to cover the front wheel to prevent the rider from getting injured by the small rocks that are grabbed by the wheel. Also, you can use the cover to mount a front light over, so it is centered in the middle and covers more area.

A proper crescent wrench can be used as a clamp, two as a modular system that may provide extra leverage.

I know it's just my two cents worth but brushed steel with a semi-gloss finish would have looked so sick. Still looks awesome, jaw dropping, stellar out of this world good.

Great work with the build and the vid. It is nice to see some crazy guy somewhere build a crazy monster bike outtanowhere and with nothing but himself, his skills and his tools to do it. It is cool and inspiring and it makes me forget, at least for a bit, the crazy, bad crazy world we live in... Well done!
