hey! just some pointers right off the rip, the kawi 750 is a great motor to choose because there is a lot of internet info on both the small pin and large pin versions, just convert over to premix and discard the pump and oil system, one little plate and your converted (they are reliable if maintained but no one does lol ) your carburetors are tuned to the restriction of the spark arrestor (vacuum carbs) (restriction=vacuum= tuning) so if you get rid of it for some china cones or something, then your "pop off" on the carbs will need to be lowered! always buy mukuni brand carb rebuilds... do not skimp on china kits... you will always regret it! also the exhaust is tuned based on where the water enters and exits, i suggest not monkeying or changing it up to much. there is usually one exhaust mod you can do to gain some free hp. Hope this helps!

I am looking forward to absolutely every project you guys are working on! That little jet boat is going to be an absolute blast to ride! Love the idea for the mini-trailer for the mini-boat. Just an idea from a guy who really has no clue: Have you thought about locating the engine in the front of the boat and running the shaft back to the impeller as a way to improve center of gravity and maybe rider comfort? (doesn't everyone love having a spinning drive shaft next to their sensitive bits? 😁)
@joaovilafranca45232 жыл бұрын

@Louis_m92 жыл бұрын
The reason every single jetboat has the motor at the back is because the more weight at the rear the better. because then the intake is easier to keep in the water which = less cavitation like having more traction on the water. i wont thint the weight balence will be that bad once you include the driver weight as a rearward bias is preferred
@Louis_m92 жыл бұрын
just read up on it actually, and a possible issue of too much rear weight bias is porposing. which is when while the boat is on a plane the front of the boat bounces up and down. this can be fixed by adding weight to the front, having fixed trim plates at the rear of the hull, or having adjustable nozzle trim
@N1RKW2 жыл бұрын
@@Louis_m9 - It's a lot easier to adjust the seat forward and back to adjust for porpoising than it would be to move the engine. My thinking is that the engine, being a small 2-stroke, is probably lighter than the human who will be piloting the boat, which is why I suggested putting the engine up front instead of the human.

The problem your going to have is the donor jetski has a molded in fiberglass pump shoe. You really need a bolt in aluminum pump shoe to make this work right in the aluminum boat. Otherwise you'll have to cut the shoe out of the old hull and rivet/fiberglass it into the jetstream hull

You should use that hull and put a 4wheeler or something inside and make an amphibious/ATV deal that floats.
@Hellsong892 жыл бұрын
Nah, that would wreck any usefulness of the frame. There is no jack of all trades vehicle, it just becomes master of none and suck. Cant really run same engine on land since jet uses water as coolant and there is no air flow over the engine. If they want to do something like that, it should be remotely driven thing that is its own unit, but it does not much sense to do so. That boat is already tiny and with this much power it will be dangerous to drive in any even moderate waves, so adding this amphibious system does not make much sense. Much rather build their own setup later on that is built for this transitioning, not that there is much use for one in Idaho far as i know.
