You can greatly increase the amount of souls by starting with the hunter and using a soul glitch with his 30 arrows and the soul you collect. Turning those 200 souls into 6000 souls. While it won't reduce the amount of time by any significant amount, it is still a good bit of info for someone trying to get a good pvp or pve build early as you can use ~2000 of those souls to get to 999 arrows and then you can power level that way. You can get to SL 99+ before the Taurus demon and even use a master key to be able to upgrade a chosen weapon to +5 before the Taurus demon. I plan on using this for building an Artorias Build.

Keep in mind a few things tho. Firstly) If you level strengh, your damage goes (probably higher) and after a certain point, high enough to get the 20% of the one hollow. Secondly) The more stamina you have, the faster you can clear a run, so leveling strengh and stamina is important.

Soo.. When I was a kid I did the same thing to kingdom hearts. Maxed out my level on tutorial island. The game was really hard for me at that point so I planned to benefit from all of the "easy" levels I could get. I remember the in game timer read over 100 hours before I left the island level. One thing: In the example you used to set the optimal time per run, you were using the dagger. Starting as a sorcerer, can you still kill the shield hollow while using the longsword with one backstab, or is the higher crit damage of the dagger what allows the one-backstab kill in the first place? Given that you're gonna be using longswords for the vast majority of the run, if it were the case that it took more than one backstab to kill that shield hollow with it, that would relatively significantly increase the average run time. Anyway, regardless of that little tidbit/realization/question/curiosity, this was an amazing video. Stumbled across & watched the DS2 one first and enjoyed them both greatly. There is a nice trick with the soul item, its a nice glitch and if your doing it by area technically you could do stray demon and the black knight too.

If someone wanted to do an actually possible run, I would suggest hitting the softcap on all stats Soul level: 248 Vitality:49 Attunement: 50 Endurance: 40 Strength: 40 Dexterity: 40 Intelligence: 50 Faith: 50 Souls required, 37,326,487 You'll notice that resistance is absent and that is because it has no softcap and would be 99 which would triple the soul requirement to 103,103,173. Based on the math in the video this would take 3,535 hours or about 150 days, which while entirely unreasonable would technically be possible. Alas, it would appear this run is not meant to be.

I watched your video with great pleasure, but I must say that the mathematics and logic of such a wound are imperfect. Your starting class is Sorcerer. Why don't you use your farming spells? This will at least nihilate the factor of weapon durability. I can assume that at the start of the game 1 Soul Arrow does not kill Hollow in one cast, but do not forget that the character will sooner or later raise Dexterity and Intelligence to a sufficient height and spells will do much more damage. The same goes for Strength and Dexterity, which scale weapon damage. At some point in the game, you will be a one-shot of any enemy in the location, regardless of the luck or failure of the backstab. Yes, the backstab brings more souls - but the need to do it successfully also takes 2-3 seconds, which in total increases the time of one run.

You arent allowed to spend any of the souls till you have them all and this is best case scenario for most souls per run not the fastest possible run.

I remember getting to level 22 in KH2 at the start of the game in that section where you climb the stairs to fight the big nobody with Roxas. That was a grind. Never again.

If you went to level up periodically in firelink shrine you could speed up the the loops of the asylum because you wouldn’t need to backstab the enemies to one shot them.
