Awesome video.. I'm impressed by the way you explain what you are doing.. I have a 2012 Buick Regal Turbo that had some major bird etching in the paint when I got it. I did some wet sanding and then used fast correcting cream and a orange pad and it came out great.. That got me started doing neighbors cars.

@@FABAutomotiveDetailing I'm gonna buy the pads to go with it as well. The paint is pretty much new as I got it in may and it's a 2018, but has alot of swirl Mark's and light scratches in it. This product seems like it will take it out then seal it and then put a coat of collinite 915 on and it should brand new!
@FABAutomotiveDetailing
@FABAutomotiveDetailing 5 жыл бұрын
Ryan Nocella sounds like a great plan. You probably need to de contaminate the paint. Even brand new cars need clayed before paint correction. Griot’s Garage sells an excellent paint cleaning clay and speed shine is the lubricant. If you are not sure if it needs clayed then grab a ziplock bag put you hand in it and lightly rub the paint. The ziplock bag allows you to feel for contaminates. Most likely the hood, roof and trunk at the least will need done.

Man I'm glad I found your channel! Very informative videos. I just purchased a 2015 Buick Enclave and did my first detail last week. Strip wash, clayed it, hit it with Meguiars swirl remover with an orange cutting pad on my 7424 then topped with collinite 845. I still have some swirl marks and scratches as that swirl remover is not that abrasive. I try the least abrasive polish first ..I want to try this fast correcting cream next followed by the perfecting cream. In your opinion is the griots BOSS polishes a better bet than the Adams polishes?

Hearing a lot of great things about Griot's Fast Correcting Cream from multiple detailers on KZbin who have had excellent results using it. Many detailers have said if they had one compound they had to pick to use.....Griot's Fast Correcting Cream would be that one. For the everyday enthusiast or "weekend warrior" detailer, the Griot's BOSS system is one of the most user friendly systems ever created from the polishers, pads of every type and various sizes, compounds and polishes, clay, microfibers (which are VERY high quality), even the bucket, brushes, wash mitt's, foam cannon, and even the darn HOSE if you need that! It's truly a one stop shop that literally has EVERYTHING you would ever need to detail your car yourself. True, Griot's may be a little pricier than some of the other products out there, but to have the flexibility and convenience of one place on the net and one sort of "system" is truly a great option for many out here in the real world who are not professionals but truly enjoy getting the best possible look on our daily drivers and our classic's or "important" vehicles. Griot's offer's a MAILED CATALOG free of charge to those who like "OLD SCHOOL" looking through an actual full color catalog which I much more prefer over "clicking" through various pages back and forth on the computer. With a catalog I can mark what products I want, then go to the site later and order everything. Either way you prefer, Griot's is a great option for many people looking for one company to shop for great quality detailing products. Of course there are MANY places on the net to shop for detailing products (hundreds of them) but some of them can be overwhelming to say the least. When you offer THOUSANDS of products, that's a little overwhelming to most people, especially your everyday Joe out here in the real world who is just getting into detailing and formerly used their garden hose, a 99 cent wash mitt from the local budget box store, and dish soap to wash their car. Of course there are other options. I'm a huge proponent of options. But Griot's offers almost every single Detailing item you will ever need. They do their research and development too. They hone in their products, constantly revise, reintroduce better versions over the years, etc. One other company that comes to mind immediately for one stop detailing products shopping is ADAMS POLISHES! Either one of these two companies are GREAT OPTIONS. The thing I do like about Griot's though is that mailed catalog I can keep on hand and look through whenever I get the urge.
@FABAutomotiveDetailing
@FABAutomotiveDetailing 5 жыл бұрын
Joe Van Seeters I agree! I like getting a new catalog every month or so and seeing the new products. The BOSS system was made for exactly what you stated. The average Joe can detail their own car and close to professional results. They are a little pricey but like my father always told me “it’s cheaper to do the job right the first time”. I don’t mind paying a little extra money to get the amazing results that I get with Griot’s Garage products. Thanks for watching and commenting.

So many channels saying prime the pad or don't. Is it a foam-specific thing to prime and not really necessary for microfiber pads?
@FABAutomotiveDetailing
