Thank you, Lewis. I am very impressed with your videos and agree with the positive comments below about the way that you present the concepts. I've always been told that you should place the grip at an angle on the base of your fingers but your suggestion to put the grip at a 90* angle gives me a more secure feeling. I even did the "test" of holding the club with one finger and it worked. I can't wait to incorporate this subtle change for my next round (in 2 days).

This has easily become my favorite channel for these tips! I love it, I am just recovering from slicing my left hand right below the pinky so I'm struggling with my swing, this has confirmed the injury is prohibiting my grip. Hopefully the recovery speeds along so I can return to form! 🙏

Thanks Lewis, really helpful to hear your explanation of the importance of achieving a good left hand grip. I’m currently swinging in to out around 4* with an open face, I guess you would describe the flight as a push fade. I’ll give this a go 🤞

Great video, love these basics and agree that they're the most important before addressing anything else. Could you maybe do a follow up short video on the effects of the right hand? It may sound silly, but I strengthen my left hand grip, but I feel my right is too far under the handle causing me to unable to release properly.

Thanks for this Lewis, always good to see a video confirming the importance of basics. I’ve recently been experimenting with a weaker left hand to promote an easier flexion of the wrist throughout the swing. Would love to know your thoughts!

Useful guidance re. the left hand. What about the right hand? Your right hand grip seems on the weaker side?

Thank for this. Any particular reason you prefer a fade personally?

Lewis what about forearm rotation? I have noticed external rotation of lead and trail arms helps with better wrist position.
@lewissparrowgolf Жыл бұрын
Forearm rotation is absolutely vital 👍 it would need to match the individual grip style though. Some people are genuinely better off with a weaker grip and they wouldn't need as much forearm rotation in my books

@@lewissparrowgolf yeah I have played around with grips for a while. All the coaches I have seen suggest I keep it as in but I can’t help thinking it plays such an important role in the swing it should be the first place you look.

What a pity you didn't show the left hand placement.

Imo the right hand is just as important
