The best X-Plane KZbinr by far. I think you need to change your electricity provider.

So well explained. My favourite feature of Southampton is the brickwork aircraft parking. If you like grass near the runway get Shoreham. You'll enjoy taxiing and the almost art-deco terminal building is very nice.

Hey, I’m a recent subscriber. Enjoy the content and the narration and speech - very easy to listen to. Separately I wish to ask you if you have a moment to share your settings and more so perhaps your NVIDIA settings. I have a good system but it doesn’t seem as smooth. That said I have cheap basic monitor so that may be the cause. I have a i7 8700k 16GB RAM and FE 1080Ti Many thanks
@GripperSim6 жыл бұрын
Hi John and thanks for subscribing! I'm delighted you like my content. I'm actually going to make a video on my X-Plane and PC settings at some stage. But for now, all the bars on my X-Plane settings are at 80% (No Shadows). my PC is as follows; My Mother board is an ASUS Z-170E Intel i7 6700 @ 4.00GHz 16.0 GB RAM AORUS GTX 1080ti SSD 1 TB SSD 500 GIG I have no special settings adjusted or changed in NVIDIA (I'll have to look into that). Also I have no wether add-ons as yet, weather add-ons can slow down your FPS (Frames Per Second) on your system, I'm on a lookout for one. Also I use the PC for X-Plane 11 ONLY, nothing else is running except X-Plane 11. I'm told the Motherboard is very important so I bought one of the more expensive ones to prevent a bottle neck. I'm going to put a more detailed account of my X-Plane settings and PC Spec in the description in future videos on the back of your comment, so thanks for contributing to the channel! In fact, only yesterday I went looking on youtube for PC's specifically build for X-Plane, I found none, the next time I'm lucky enough to get a new PC, I'll do just that! I hope that helps for now, but I will make a video on my PC and X-Plane settings soon. See you next week and thanks for the comment!

Could someone please explain how the calculation works to get 12 minutes? Is it assuming a ground speed of 80kts? If so, how would you use this trick for a faster plane at say 110kts?
@RogueLlama-fp4ts4 жыл бұрын
You do the distance divided by the speed and then multiply it by 60. For example, if you need to go 30nm at 110 knots, you do 30/110 x 60 = 16.36. So 16 minutes. Hope that helps
@markrice234 жыл бұрын
@@RogueLlama-fp4ts Thank you this helped. I must have been having a slow day when I asked this question 😂
@MuzafferB744 жыл бұрын
For what speed are we doing that divide by 2 ETA estimation please?

looks like 80kts (no wind)

Well done and entertaining! Is the Orbx scenery accurate and detailed enough that one could navigate from a chart?
@GripperSim6 жыл бұрын
Absolutely, It works very well, you could always navigate in X-Plane as in the real world, Orbx just makes the scenery much more detailed, Even down to power lines in most cases!

Hi. Sorry but this is not VFR navigation. Absolutely not. 👎 Would not work at real definetly. There is always wind there and is changing along your flight. VFR navigation is based on comparing what you see outside and you compare with your chart... Another important point - your landing is very dangerous! ☠️☠️ You are too low on base and final leg. Over buildings and infrastructure. If you would lose power (very offen with such old planes as Cessna, Piper... = piston engines) you are not be able to glide and land at airport or any usable field) you would die and you would kill people below.... Trick with clock and azimuth is nice! 👍 How you calculate ETA?
