The way I see it should not be called a bond breaker if the waterproofing sticks to it. It's just a sealant

Hi D W, you should always follow instruction from membrane manufacturer. The standards define a bond breaker as "a system that prevents the membrane bonding to the substrate" this is sometimes misinterpreted as "a system that prevents the membrane bonding to the sealant" as long as the sealant used is waterproof, flexible, mould resistant and compatible with adjacent materials you will find yourself aligned with requirements set out in the Australian Standard. PU sealants are old school sealants. MS Polymer is No #1.
