An oracle, timer and difficulty decider all in one! Fits quite well with us GMs who only spend 30 minutes to prep a game!

That's a novel idea! I like that it gives you a list of words to help trigger more creative responses. Very cool!

Thanks! It's quite a handy little tool. Hopefully I can get some more play-through videos out to showcase it more.

Coin flip, high-low, evens-odds, literally every table has numerous rng polyhedrals and when a decision needs to be made that could go either way there is a die in arms reach to roll. This is such a non-issue for majority of tables. BUT, I suppose having it codified for new GMs and players could be a good thing. I will say that some of the examples you use are things that should be determined beforehand, "are there guards on watch", well it is a good idea to know how many guards you have guarding the place at the time of the infiltration and how often their rotations are, and maybe one of the dice gets rolled to determine if the current watch is being switched out. Note, I don't know the Grit system itself, I might want to take a look at it. I am familiar with D&D, Pathfinder, Legend of the Five Rings, Shadowrun, Avatar Legends, and the World of Darkness.

Absolutely! This is not a new concept and certainly not ground-breaking as I had mentioned. However, I felt it needed a place in the book given the low-prep, rules-light structure of GRIT. Whatever works for your particular way of running things is the way to go there. If knowing how many guards you have ahead of time works best for your game flow then rock on! The point I was making there is that you don't really need to have any of that written out on the GM side of things. It opens up an on-the-fly approach which is just a different way of doing things. I personally prefer to be more fluid, not knowing exact quantities of enemies works well with GRIT. All I need is the enemy stat block and I'm good to go. I have a number of videos that will give you an idea of the system. I put out a play-through video that runs through a combat scenario that's worth checking out. Rich from Renegade Rolls just put out a really nice review of the system. There is also written information on DriveThruRPG about the game. I do have to say that it is a rules-light game that is not intended to replace Pathfinder or D&D. GRIT shines with quick one-shots and short campaigns that take very little time to setup. Thanks for watching this video and for the comment here, I appreciate that!
