I told my grandad I was scared of graveyards when I was 11/12 and he took me to the old part of this graveyard to camp. It got rid of my fear and he told me “the dead won’t hurt you, it’s the living. Your safer here than you are most places” . As you walk from the new graveyard to the old old one at the top of the hill on the mud track the tree at the top has a spooky face carving on. My grandad did that for the craic.

What a fab place! A while ago I was working in a new building. I work in lots of different places within one organisation. Anyway I was doing a fitness class and every time we would hear walking, drawers opening and closing and paper being shuffled through one of the locked areas in the pitch dark. It happened all the time. We found out that the old graveyard used to be there. All the bodies had been moved, they thought. I mentioned it to the day staff and they said it happens all the time and just accepted it

I just like many of your watchers, love history and especially old churches..or just old sites, doesnt have to be haunted etc...i started noting churchyards around Leeds recently, as some of my ancestory is going to be up around there! Your brave Gaz camping around an old churchyard ( it is beautiful though) the dead will never hurt you...but the living now thats another story! My late grandmother a medium and psychic always told me that as a kid....and it kind of stayed with me. But its very true, so as im older now, i see how right she was and has been...hope this evening goes well for yourself and Fendy as im at the beginning of your video, and must say im mesmerised by the places you choose to camp...thanks Gaz

Hey Griz, can't say I've ever spent the whole night in a cemetery as a wild camp...hmm food for thought 😄. I have however spent two nights in the woods in Ontario, Canada where the Iroquois wiped out one of the last villages belonging to the Neutral tribes. The woods are supposedly haunted and people have reported being stalked or seeing ghosts of Iroquois or Neutrals in this wood as well as screams, and the sounds of battle. The woods had a disquieting feeling about them but the two nights were uneventful, other than frozen eggs in the mornings. Keep them coming Griz, do enjoy your vids...cheers!

What are Iroquois?
@Badmoose642 жыл бұрын
Hi Griz, the Iroquois were a confederacy made up of the Cayuga, Cherokee, Huron, Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, Seneca, and Tuscarora Indians. The Mohawk and Hurons were primarily responsible for wiping out the Neutral Indians.

Hey Griz, found this for you. I hope you find it interesting ..cheers The Beaver Wars (Mohawk: Tsianì kayonkwere), also known as the Iroquois Wars or the French and Iroquois Wars (French: Guerres franco-iroquoises) were a series of conflicts fought intermittently during the 17th century in North America throughout the Saint Lawrence River valley in Canada and the lower Great Lakes region which pitted the Iroquois against the Hurons, northern Algonquians and their French allies. As a result of this conflict, the Iroquois destroyed several confederacies and tribes through warfare: the Hurons or Wendat, Erie, Neutral, Wenro, Tionontate, Susquehannock, Mahican and northern Algonquins whom they defeated and dispersed, some fleeing to neighboring peoples and others assimilated, routed, or killed.

A simple voice recorder, placed away from you, would likely get some good EVPs. It is a good "fire and forget" technology. Just set it recording and leave it be. The only downside is the analysis later to see what you captured, but I have captured MANY EVP in graveyards and you would as well. I would bet you would get some great EVPs at a place like that. Great episode as always...
