Funnily enough, the mods AREN'T broken! All the main mod teams got early access to the update and DLC so they could update the mods on Day One!! Millennium Dawn, Kaiserreich, and a bunch more are already updated and ready to go!!

I've had like 4 runs with this Austrian path and not once did I have such bad luck as you. You were really unlucky and usually this is way easier. Also the AI almost allways accepts at ''will likley accept'', which is usually after clicking 2 buttons of anything, so no need to do all the buttons. Thank you Kris for this masterpiece of a video

Having tested it out myself, I believe you can core the former German cores in Poland and France but only if they previously cored it by advancing down their tree enough in the historical or imperial trees which have focuses to re-core them

When you take the better germany state focus, you can core all german cores, not just starting game cores. So if Germany gets cores on the Corridor, North Schleswig, or Alsace you can get those cores too

Portugal had a mostly closed and isolated economy in it's own sphere so didn't suffer from the Great Depression nearly as much as the more globally integrated open economic markets of countries like the US did. It did experience fallouts in things like the price drops for exports in the raw materials market and trade with countries like Brazil fell but it wasn't nearly as bad as the near mass starvation of unemployed people in other places. In France, the Great Depression was extremely mild compared to the other edge cases, unemployment never went above 5%, there was never a banking crisis that caused further economic instability, industrial production was down immensely from it's 1929 peak for a couple years but GDP never shrunk significantly like the USA did. (The USA experienced a 25% GDP LOSS from 1929 to 1933). Although it isn't like Paradox devs understand much about history or consistency with their country paths, players also don't understand much about history to properly critique them much of the time either. To add onto this, like everything online the internet is overfilled in the English speaking side with Americans. So things you learn online usually come from an American perspective and American education. Because the Great Depression was so horrifically bad in America there is this incorrect assumption that the entire world was all equally devastated to the same level because that just seem intuitive or how they were taught. Some places were hit much worse than others, a lot of places had much more mild consequences also.
