Dinner this week? We are going through a really busy time in our family right now, so I have just started a new cooking routine that I absolutely LOVE! I'm off work Mondays and only have one kid home, so I make sure I order groceries online to arrive Monday morning at 8:00. Then I cook ONE BIG meal Monday during the day and one small meal of something fresh (like salad or something that doesn't like the freezer). We have the little meal for dinner Monday and the big meal for dinner Tuesday. And then we freeze the rest. Usually 2-3 pig portions. We will then take out something from the freezer that I made a previous week twice more that week and one day we will have sandwiches for dinner. And that is the entire week's weekdays. I COOK ONCE! Then I have more fun with the dinners on the weekends. But it saves SO much time and money and we still have good food every day!!!

You are truly an inspiration to soooo many of us! I really mean that. I don't write on KZbin often but I wanted you to know you ARE making a difference in people's lives 💜 I used to adore cooking until about 6 years ago when I suddenly developed a neurological condition, things became increasingly difficult to do due to my condition and I lost some of my passion for cooking. Since then, I have been lucky enough to give birth to 2 beautiful babies (now 4yrs and 2.5yrs). Somewhere between my health problems, looking after the kids and life's other hurdles, I fell into the trap of "convenience food" (unfortunately I'm not just talking about buying pre diced squash 😋) which has taken it's toll on our health, wellbeing and DRAINED our bank accounts. Your video's have honestly inspired me to make a conscious effort to get myself back in the game by meal planning (with MUCH more shelf cooking) and using your productivity tips to help be ahead of the game. Also I just love watching you. You always bring a smile to my face. Keep being you because you are a DIAMOND 💎

It works best for us if I meal plan the week before, batch cook all the meals at once on the weekend, then reheat & eat all week long. This week I'm cooking 6 different dinners and family breakfasts, but only needed 7 ingredients from the store because - HELLO SHELF COOKING! I have over THIRTY of the ingredients I needed already. I'm a believer, and I'll never meal plan differently ever again.

Dominique Myers I love that they are eco friendly.. They will never be in the cards for me, unfortunately, because the process takes longer with 💩 diapers, and I have a weak stomach to start with. I had to clean up a 2 year old who was eating regular food, but the diaper was explosive. That was my worst memory in ten years of babysitting and Changing hundreds of diapers (many being cloth..) For me it’s worth the money to not have to touch or wash that off the diaper/do the extra laundry/have it mixed in.. I do wish it was easier on the planet though.😢

I just started a new meal plan system for every 2 weeks of shopping. Using a large picture frame with the days of the week listed out behind the glass, and listing the meals per day on the outside with a dry erase marker. It hangs in our kitchen. For some reason, we stick to it so much better when it’s posted up where the whole family can see . This week it’s tacos, beef tips and noodles, crock pot pork chops, and baked spaghetti with salads and sandwiches as fillers. I also list lunches and breakfast. For now, I just write the plan out in a notebook to shop by but I’m hoping to get ahold of your planner! Thanks always for the inspiration!

I actually made french bread pizza tonight for dinner, I didnt know anyone else knew how to make that 👌 I'm also making chicken noodle soup, potato corn chowder, fajitas, stir fry, and a sunday roast with twice baked potatoes. Currently 37.5 weeks prego and ready to burst!!

I’m glad you’re reasonable about the length of time seasonal chocolate will last in freezer. Like TECHNICALLY a year but like is it really gonna last that long??

I love French bread. Toast it for a snack. Make French bread pizzas. Slice it for sandwiches. Use it for Texas toast. And you can’t beat $1. I also love how you don’t care about freezing food for 2 years and using canned vegetables. I can’t even explain how awful I feel when people get crazy about only eating fresh. We work with what makes our kids happy and healthy and full without going broke and being wasteful with rotten produce.

I have like the opposite of your family (lol)....one kiddo, me, my hubby and a dog, and what we have done for almost 2/years now is Hello Fresh for dinners. It works well for us, and I feel like I waste less food and try more things than I did when I meal-planned and shopped each week! Each meal that is supposed to be one meal for 4 turns into 6 portions (2 meals for us). My daughter and I share an adult portion each meal. I am anxious to try some of your recipes when I need fill-ins, though! BTW....I got the plague/flu starting last week, too!! So far, it has only been me that got it, but it has suuuuuucccked per usual. Got it last year, too! Crazy thing is I am the major handwasher in my family!! I must have walked through a cloud of flu at Target or something!! Uuuugghh! Lol! I am hoping to have enough energy to decontaminate tomorrow when Clo goes back to school (flooding/sickness here in TN...school is out today!)

With meal planning (btw I have 3 total in my household and I usually cannot keep my budget under $150, idk how you do it with a family of 10 🤯) I usually see what meat is on sale or in my freezer and then plan 2 meals/ meat and a splurge meal for my hubby and son. You inspire me, and idk how you have enough energy for your life. ❤️❤️

I can’t wait to see your food budget when all those kids are teenagers. My three teen boys can eat all that food you bought by themselves in a week and go through five gallons a week by themselves. They are athletes. Your bill will be huge when your little kids are the size of adults.

Can you do a video for college students? Like your tips. I’m currently a college student, I live off campus. I do have a kitchen and I want to start make real meals. I want to try to avoid fast food or frozen food if possible. But then it ends being no time or nervousness I might make it wrong (especially with me, I don’t want to make it wrong then end up getting sick). So if you have any tips that would be extremely helpful!

@@jordanpagecompany Of course 💕 hope your having a great day! I was wondering if you still use the microdermabrasion tool? Also a favorite of ours for chicken 2 1/2-3 lbs chicken 5tbls lime juice(I use a 1/3 c and just not fill it to the top) 1c broth (I have used less because I was running low and it was fine) 1tbsp chili(not spicy, toddler friendly) 2tsp cumin 1/2 tsp dried oregano 1/2 tsp garlic +salt&pepper Throw 1/2 a cup fresh cilantro on top in a crock pot and use a hand mixer to shed the chicken, I do take out the cilantro after cooking!

Just started to meal plan this week. I sat down and wrote down all dinners for the entire month. On the menu this week is Italian 3 bean soup (last night), baked lemon chicken (today) , Mexican hotdogs on friday, chicken fajitas on Sunday. On the menu next couple of week: chorizo con papas, minestrone soup, enchiladas and mexican rice, Mexican meatball soup, spaghetti and meatballs, jambalaya (my version), chicken pot pie, honey garlic chicken, chicken marsala, italian chicken pasta, fish tacos, chili, bbq chicken, gallinita pinta, ground beef empanadas, as well as a few leftover nights mixed in. So excited because I have most of what I need in my freezer and pantry. Will only need to shop for fresh fruit and veggies.

It’s a game changer. My Walmart also gives a sample bag at the beginning of each month, which is cool. But yeah, shop on the app, pick up in your scheduled time slot and never have to worry. They’re great with substitutions too. I haven’t tried their delivery service, but imagine it’s good too.

Some of the meals this week for us are: ham & potato soup, pulled pork sandwiches, homemade pizza, tacos, fried rice, meatloaf + mashed potatoes, bean + cheese burritos, breakfast for supper and alfredo perogies. YUM! We average ~$65/week on groceries (more like $50/week lately!) Family of 4 in Canada! 🇨🇦

I LOVE Jordan but I could never shop or plan my meals like this 😬 It gives me severe anxiety at just the thought, my brain can’t handle it plus I would hate picking up & putting away that many groceries! 😫 I’m exhausted just looking at it!

I would try to plan in smaller increments first. Maybe planning just for the next day, then maybe your kids' lunches for the week, then plan 3 days ahead, then a week, etc.
