I enjoy grocery haul videos. Another family you would love to watch is Ozark family homestead. Janice does a fantastic job on finding the best deals :)

I know it takes a good amount of planning for groceries - esp, starting with what you get from the food pantry so you can really maximize it for meals. you are a smart shopper.

You will probably get this tip from many, but in case- I will take a container of that flavored yougurt and mix it with the plain. 1. you kids might go for it so it will last longer? 2. it may help cut the sugar some ;) "and a bag of bananas, cause I'm raising monkeys," and all the moms stood up and said, AMEN!

From a childhood where we had a breakfast of cold fries and a school lunch, then....nothing until the following morning to being so isolated in a rural situation that I had to make one loaf of bread last six weeks and two days, I've been there. I , now, live an easier life; and it is made easier for I make sure my cupboard and fridge are always full and I have savings in three separate accounts. Not a lot of money, but enough to let me know I'll never have to rely on anyone ever again. I hope your life gets easier this year. That said, I am a fan of your channel. Here in Scotland we have next-to-none-of the brands - nor the majority of the foods featured - you introduce. So thank you so much for keeping me soooooooo fascinated.

I do agree with you. I believe eating clean would benefit all of us. Unfortunately, sometimes we do fall off and eat stuff we shouldn't I know i eat a lot of things that really don't agree with me and I feel like I eat them just out of habit but I'm working on it. With the help of the Lord great video.

Great haul I love Mount cheesemore! I might try growing Edemame I love them! I am in Tennessee and they grow tons of soybeans here! I love the water flavorings from aldi. Aldi is my new favorite store! I have to tell you I got 12pounds of boneless skinless chicken thighs for $15 a week or 2 ago from aldi I was so excited. Hope you have a great week! I had 3 kids under 3 and it was very difficult because nobody could help each other and they all had to be in the cart which left no room in the cart anyhow now they are 19,17,16 and I miss the little stage!

I already so miss the littles stage. If someone dropped a baby off on my door step I would tell no one. Just keep it. 🤣
@angelafleming332810 ай бұрын
@@weepingwillowhomestead if I wasn't almost 52 I probably would take in a baby as well but my body can't keep up with the baby stage anymore I have lots of autoimmune issues cronic fatigue being a big one also psoriatic arthritis that is bad, psoriasis, eczema and tons of allergies. So it would be difficult plus my husband is in late stage dementia and he is like having a baby at this point. But 10 years ago I would have totally had another baby.

do you guys ever butcher chickens? I'm 54 and I still remember the smell (of ya know ya know) but I do miss it!!! I use those pie crust and put on canned apples and make a crumb topping like an apple crisp and drizzle with van. frosting...it's not pretty but it's amazing!!!
@weepingwillowhomestead10 ай бұрын
We raised meat chickens (just a few) about 3 years ago. At that time, it wasn't cost effective. Now I am seriously considering it again. We processed ours along with 2 other families. We ended up processing about 120 chickens in a day. And yes, that smell stay with you. Lol

Don't go to the food pantry if you're getting food stamps you're already getting assistance you don't need it
@weepingwillowhomestead9 ай бұрын
We don't get food stamps. But even if someone is getting them, if they are still in need, they should seek out as much help as they need. Sometimes one or the other isn't enough.
