Remarkable! This machine looks painfully over-engineered to me. They're beautiful, but... oof! Have you considered a video series like this for the Olympia splendid family? I have a Socialite that I've been tinkering with, but there doesn't seem to be a manual, and I'm not comfortable getting into the carriage without some additional guidance.

What a nightmare. However, it looks to me, like the shift-arms could be taken apart and later attached/connected. They have a screw on the side? Also, it might help to screw the main part into the shell as the very first step? But either way, I will never touch a calibri, that's for sure.
