The entire desert and hotel sequence is my favorite part of the series so far. It really was dream-like, like one of those weird dreams where you’re in a very familiar looking place but almost every little nuance is off somehow. Like when you dream of your childhood home and it’s like really warped and otherworldly versus how you knew it as a child. Also I seem to disagree with most reviewers. I think this is probably Ryan’s best pure horror work since Murder House and Asylum. A lot going on but somehow it feels chaotically perfect, much like the turmoil you’d expect building up to the end of time
@EJMorenoАй бұрын
Totally agree. Like it made me feel uncomfortable, which is hard to do. Good call abotu the childhood home dreams, I used to dream about my elementary school as some backrooms thing a lot
@PrisonHoney96Ай бұрын
@@EJMoreno SAME. And these last 2 episodes felt very dreamlike also in that you’re shifting from one thing to another somewhat abruptly like you do in dreams. You know, like when you’re in Walmart running from Michael Jackson then suddenly you’re in the desert on ayahuasca and you’re lost. Yet it somehow still makes sense in dream logic 😂
@Jantis_AtlantisАй бұрын
I just really hope that whatever big reveal they’re working up towards is worth it because it’s starting to feel like it’s just dragging. I would like to start having some answers to these questions we all have! honestly, I’ve lost interest in this show and it started off really strong

I started watching this show only a couple of days ago and am hooked waiting for the next episode. I am a long time Niecy fan and she shines in every scene she is in. I am not from the US and didn’t know who Travis Kelce was but only discovered him via this show and am impressed with his acting chops. It’s a great show and the suspense and mystery continues to build with every episode. Best show now streaming.😊

I agree, episode 5 had a nightmarish quality about it. Very much the way your dreams may meander from one situation to another, it was like that with the latest episodes. IMO Lois, not her husband, is the one in a coma, and the series has been taking place while she's in the hospital. We'll see!
@EJMorenoАй бұрын
Yeah def starting to believe that coma theory
@MoonStone_EmpressАй бұрын
That one-shot feel to it made it even more dream like and really amped up the anxiety.

Thank you for putting out this review. You have a lot going on. Right after I finished the show. I was like what does EJ have to say.. but Episode five had to be turned off… I was getting stressed. Then The c - section.. was disturbing . I was happy/ sad for red. She sold me on her love for her him. Now it all makes sense. I thought she might be a creep. And that priest is still hot! To me 🤷♀️ I’m so mad they took just ended it like that… it’s like cheating..

Yes, EJ is back and safe! My sentiments are the same about 5 & 6. Sister Megan sensed that motel was evil. I'm still dizzy from the camera action on episode 5 and 6 has me confused. It's still fun to watch. Can't wait for 7!
@irene_elizabethАй бұрын
Hey EJ! So glad to have you back! This show just keeps getting more and more bizarre. But for me in a good way. The whole desert motel scene was other worldly surreal. It was a hodge podge of mayhem and reminded me of one of my own disjointed nightmares. 😆 How about the milking of the shackled women? For a split second upon first glance it gave me Saw vibes. I knew it was too much to hope for that it would be revealed who Lois shot, but it still killed my soul knowing we’d have to wait a week to find out. 😬 😭 I did hear that there’s a theory that Lois has been in a coma after the car accident. (You alluded to a coma.) And that perhaps everything since has been sort of a crazy mashup review of or reflecting upon her career? We shall see…. 🤷🏼♀️ I have been watching your reviews for awhile EJ but am just starting to post. Your take on Ryan Murphy series episodes always gives me more to think about and helps fill in gaps when I may have overlooked something. Thank you for what you do!
@MoonStone_EmpressАй бұрын
I think she's been out of the real world since episode 1. The curtains catching on fire and her proclivity to drink until she passes out makes me think she passed out while smoking and caught the house on fire. I get some Dante's Inferno vibes, but she kept hearing that beeping and seeing like a ghostly orderly guy so maybe she's in between life and death. I've got a more detailed theory but it's a lot.
@irene_elizabeth Everything is so up in the air that even halfway through the season anything is still possible. I just hope that when they wrap it up, they do it in a satisfying way.

@@EJMoreno I am glad you had something to take your mind off of that horror! I used to live in Miami for a long time, so storms and I are acquainted! I hope they can clean up the area soon. Please stay safe and maybe you want the internet (even if maybe Grotesquerie wasn't or was worth it lol).

I can't decide if this show is actually good, but I can't stop thinking about it. It's not often a show holds my attention, but this one does. It feels like Ryan Murphy wanted to redo AHS Apocalypse based on an bender fueled fever dream, but I'm still gonna keep watching.

Where do i begin. I don't think Merrit exist which explains all the empty wombs. I don't think Lois can carry a baby or lost one to being premature. Which explains Merrit eating all the time. Also the priest Charlie represnts her husband who is an professor in philosophy would explain being at a podium also he's the killer because the priest said his favorite movie is The Exorcist which the author of the book William Peter Blatty studied philosophy at Georgetown. Lois is the nun solving crimes etc. Ed is the guardian of hell the lake of fire. Ed means guardian and Lachlan means lake. I can keep going lol
@saltydog7038Ай бұрын
This show is just beyond silly at this point. The 'traps' or tableaus that the killer is setting up are so big and elaborate they would take a team of people to put together. How is he just carting around the bodies of a dozen homeless people and welding them in place for the last supper or abducting live women to hook up to the milking machine? You know how hard it would be to abduct one adult without being seen but this guy has taken like 20 people at this point.
