You folks need have a drink and relax. This guy is a transparent put on; and he even has a hard time avoiding laughing at himself. He is deliberately chosen the most absurd ideas to promote and nobody is taking him seriously except the humourless viewers. He appears in two episodes. The first episode got an enormous response by mail from women; most of whom stated they had fallen in love with him. In his second appearence he is teamed with a woman who is prepared to vigorously retort his ideas. At no time does he display any "attitude" towards her, and, in fact, he is extremely cordial without any hint of chauvanism. Of course it is the folly of the time that one can just arbitrarily judge human behavior from a different era and assume some false sense of moral superiority because you don't understand the humor of the day. It's a put on. It's a parody of a discussion that was beginning to take stage. And it's funny. Obviously the name SODOWOW and H.G. Morton are just made up. The woman advocate got in her shots, and it didn't bother him a bit. One needs to be observant of human behavior, not obsess on dialogue. But then this is an age when we are systematically destroying anything that resembles human behavior, including humor.

H.G. Morton is a "take-up". It's a parody which exaggerates a position with the purpose of illuminating that position's flaws and satirizing that position. Part of the danger of assuming you can look back sixty years and judging people without any understanding of the vernacular of the time. HG Morton is something else. As to whether his organization was real or just a joke, I don't know. There was a series of science fiction books dating from 1972 by John Norman called the "Gor books" about adventures related to the Planet Gor: some were totally hilarious: I recommend #12 Beasts of Gor. An absurdist reaction to feminism, the books facetiously argued that women enjoyed rape & would kiss the chains that enslaved them, as well as the whips that chastised them. Many women took these tomes dead seriously & caused much uproar, keeping them from being reprinted for some time. While far from great literary works, they are, for sure, not PC!
