I think the bedroll is really interesting, since it looks and acts really similar to the bedroll from lonesome road, complete with message when you pick it up, but its way less colorful than the messages the lonesome road one has, and even is simply called a bedroll while the one in lonesome road has a brand name attached to it, really implies its like a beta version of that bedroll

i love how lawful dumbass the guy playing this is, especially in the video descriptions. i like to read his actions as being somewhat indifferent to everything happening, and not really that curious about anything deeper besides looking at the weird stuff he's stumbling upon. since he doesn't talk, you can't really know what he's thinking aside from how he acts in the game. you can see him get scared by some of the noises happening around him, because they're sudden or strange, but otherwise he doesn't seem super freaked out. i'd be pants-pissing scared if it was me, lmao. the creep vibes are off the charts.

Yeah, but I think the player character is perfect for this, like if it was someone more inquisitive or maybe someone more scared, like you said, things would not be presented in such a compelling way. These videos have this vibe of "casual and fun, but _careless_ exploration", like I'm reminded of every time he shot his loud gun and every time he fired flares all over, and how often all of that announced loudly where he was. The player is like that guy in a horror movie who walks off into the monster's lair, thinking nothing of it, and then serves as a victim to showcase to the audience what the monster does.

From the late 90s, in the broadcasts Waters gives numerous details about finding a bottomless pit on his property that exhibits strange properties such as trapping sound, resurrecting animals dropped in it, changing the properties of objects lowered inside of it.

If I were to guess, the bunker is where House originally sent the Platinum Chip. The odd, wooden cubbyhole leading to a long green door is odd, and it being placed seemingly under a buried silo is odd as well. Personally, The long, Oldest View style stairs are a nice touch. The terminal talking about crashing everything is referring to the chip, and apparently the picture is of the shipping details. It's possible the "format unsuccessful | contact a technician" is also related to the chip, possibly being the specially encoded data. As for the photos of the strip, I'm not sure. Possibly pictures of the bombs dropping? The odd part is the food is all irradiated. We're the occupants rushed into the bunker? And the inaccessible doors might very well lead to tunnels. Although, one of these doors being blocked by a large piece of machinery implies a secret system? It would explain the Bioshock style lantern. The party streamers remind me of the vaults.....is this related to vault tech? The tool bench, scrap and multiple fission batteries would imply an engineering purpose.....broken pistol is off-putting. The bedroll being well preserved seems to imply someone was staying here? Possibly looted here? The area this is in is Canyon Ruins, so maybe it's related to the story. Also, at 2:58, there's a wood chipper on the ground by the platinum chip, which is the heaviest object in game. What the need for a wood chipper down here is, I do not know. As a side note, it rankles me he didn't take the batteries, chips and scrap. That's valuable assets he's just leaving behind! I have no idea how to explain 10:10. Is it related to the "Remains" from the last video, mojaveraw-d4c2aa65? Possibly? Hell, it feels like a glitch from a real Fallout game. There are also flocks of will o the wisp style lights, and strange funnels of air in the sky? The lights are actually referenced on the newspaper later, with "Strange Lights over Pahrump". Pahrump was originally going to be referenced with graffiti saying "Avenge Pahrump", indicating a tragedy occured there.

Lol 1- he did take the bedroll dude he literally picked it up, there was just 2 of them 2- the 'play fnv' comment was probably referring to the fact that while fascinating and engaging theories, every theory you have about tying into the main game relates to something thats canonically explained in game and widely different from any of these theories. The bunker the chip was meant to go to is a different, in game location you reach, the chip doesn't actually do anything iirc in any terminal except the intended one much less scramble data, and nothing needs be 'recompiled' on it as it's just an activation mechanism for advanced security features in his existing bots throughout the world (iirc, it's been a few years lol). Furthermore the Yao guai effect need not have an actual entity, I'm pretty sure the game adds an ambient version as well for certain areas, the briefcase dropping karma is an automatic effect that happens any time you steal (items that are stolen instead of just taken are highlighted red in the text before you take them), anything official vault-tech tends to come in a specific shade of blue with the vault number in yellow on it, and the 'flocks of light' aren't light but a wind effect added to an in-game area with the intention of looking like some kind of sandstorm. The strange funnels are just an effect of using them in a circular manner to try and cover the area from all sides in the wind effect, which is a 2d/flat model 😂 All that said those are some damn good theories when considering you were working from probably none of that provided info lmao

When the player enters their inventory to look at the platinum chip, the description lists it as having no sell value. In the game the platinum chip actually sells for 3 caps. I read this as meaning the chip is no longer of any use to the player. Truly interesting stuff.

I interpreted it as a fake Chip, because Mr House is a tricky guy. The messages said something about it crashing the entire system. My guess is it was a decoy that someone stole off a truck headed to the Lucky 38, hence the truck message and the shipping manifest.

OOOohhh GhoOOOost fish. Seriously though, it might just be me, but it almost seems like the area our protagonist encounters might've originally been some body of water like an ocean. The winds almost act like currents, and the deep, uneven terrain is almost reminiscent of the depths of a large body of water. It is a video game about a desert wasteland after all. Who knows! I might be overthinking it. And again, with the sound design, it really keeps you on edge. Excellent work!

I think the reason he didn't take these chips or seemed to be curious when he saw the plantinum chip because in the intro video we know that this fallout new vegas version is made by Interplay and obsidian and there is no lucky 38 in the menu. In the following episodes it can be seen that in this universe Mr House has been investigated and it is possible he was unable to save New Vegas resulting in the non-existence of casinos that make these chips worthless and may never have existed in this universe
