So to add some context about the ultras: The biggest group (Ultramarines) and the other (North Gate) hate eachother. North Gate was funded 2 years ago because they were pissed off about the Ultramarines opinions about the board of the club. And before this match there was a brawl outside the stadium, this is why both groups came after kick off.

Yeah actually this is quite common. If you have 2 ultra groups, this usually means political divisions such as psg ultras before 2010. However it's not always the case (Marseille for example). However this also helps create a greater atmosphere, because each group is trying to suprass the other (check psg atmosphere before 2010, it was mental for real)​@orteniporten5364

It's really difficult for a city of size like Bordeaux what's happening to Girondin de Bordeaux, a historic club where legends have played, Girèsse, Zidane, etc. The problem is that I'm not a big football fan myself but a rugby fan. That's also what we don't talk about, Bordeaux is in the South-West of France and we have another stadium, Chaban-Delmas, but there is one of the biggest rugby teams playing there. Bordeaux may be a city of more than 1.2 million inhabitants, but it's very hard to find people to go see the matches of two big teams.

I was at the UEFA final in 1996 vs Bayern munich in Virage Sud... Lizarazu, Gaetan Huart...we had a fantastic team at the moment. I remember also the 1/4 final vs Milan AC 3-0 In Bordeaux (lost 0-2 in milan)...the town was crazy! :)
